Video: Sunday Oct 9th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that Dr Sheldon Holder won the CureAccelerator programme, Bristol City Football Club highlighted Nahki Wells and Shaun Goater, and Candice Gaugain’s store was named Shop of the Year in South West England were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Nicholas Lopes won at the Old Salem Horse Show, Jai Bean scored for the Duke University men’s soccer team, Kahzi Sealey and his Christ School men’s cross country teammates won the Asheville Christian Home Cross Country Meet, Kole Hall scored twice for Chester FC, Sydney Fischer scored twice in a Blair Academy win, and Sussex Cricket announced that Delray Rawlins signed a contract extension with the club.
Other good news stories included a local group donating to a South African school, the Hamilton Princess ranking in the top 10 in Condé Nast Traveler, the Green family donated $20,000 to BCHC, Bermuda being ranked number four in Condé Nast Traveler and the DENR Marine Development Team of Dr. Tammy Warren, Andrew Petit, Sarah Manuel, Joanna Pitt, Philip Worboys, and Jirani Welch being awarded the Public Service Excellence Award for August.
We also posted various community photo galleries, including coverage of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship Qualifier, including three Bermudians qualifying for the event, the Set The Bar Cocktail Competition, and the 2022 Police Gymkhana Event.
