Bermuda School Of Music’s ‘Joy To The World’
The Bermuda School of Music will present ‘Joy to the World’ on Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10 at St. John’s Church in Pembroke.
A spokesperson said, “Director Marjorie Pettit presents an evening of timeless carols, joyful holiday favourites and plenty of Christmas Cheer in her much-awaited Holiday concert “Joy to the World” on Friday 9th December and Saturday 10th December.
“The concert features the combined efforts of The Bermuda Chamber Choir & Orchestra with The Bermuda School of Music Youth Choir, as well as Trumpet soloists Matthew Ross and Conrad Roach playing Antonio Vivaldi’s popular Concerto for Two Trumpets in C major.”
Mrs. Pettit says, “After a lapse of nearly three years I have one of the best choral groups ever emerging to delight audiences this Christmas. The programme will include many well-known Christmas favourites together with excerpts from Handel, Chilcott and Willcocks. There will also be a rousing selection of carols for audience participation.”
The spokesperson said, “Marjorie Pettit is known for her sold out concerts packed with eager and festive audiences and this year should be no exception. Purchase your tickets today and avoid disappointment as tickets go quickly. Sponsor tickets will not be numbered, but a special area with prime viewing will be organized and clearly designated.
