Goodchild Advances In COTECC Tournament
Tobiah Goodchild represented Bermuda in the Central American & Caribbean Tennis Confederation Under-14 San Jose Bowl in Costa Rica.
Goodchild picked up a good first round win against Arieh Fliker of Costa Rica, the Bermuda player battled to a three set victory.
In a tough marathon match, Goodchild started well and took the first set 4-2, but he went down in the second set 5-4, in the third set tiebreaker Goodchild won 10-6.
In his second match, Goodchild defeated Andres Rucavado also from Costa Rica in another three-setter.
Goodchild won the first set 4-1, but he went down 5-3 in the second set. Goodchild would recover to win the third set 12-10.
Goodchild won his third match in straight sets 4-0, 4-0 against Alejandro Holmann from Nicaragua.
