Scotland, Kelly & Newport Defeat Swansea
Stefan Kelly, Marcus Scotland, and their Newport Cricket Club Wales teammates defeated Swansea Cricket Club by 24 runs in the UK.
Newport batted first and scored 240/6 in their allotted 50 overs, Michael Clayden was the top scorer with 94, Scotland was out without scoring and Kelly did not bat. George Pritchard was the pick of the Swansea bowlers with figures of 6-0-41-2.
In reply, Swansea scored 216/9, Steffan Roberts was the top scorer with 57, Don Abewardena was the pick of the Newport bowlers with figures of 10-2-30-4, Kelly bowled 3-0-18-1, and Scotland held onto a catch.
