Keep Bermuda Beautiful [KBB] took part in the Butterfield Bermuda Championship Junior Golf Clinic at Port Royal Golf Course, engaging 40 local students aged 5-14 with waste management education and emphasizing the significance of environmental stewardship.
Keep Bermuda Beautiful said, “Things we love! Working with little people and teens is one of KBB’s most favorite things to do! Yesterday, we had the honor of participating in the Butterfield Bermuda Championship Junior Golf Clinic at Port Royal golf course. KBB provided a bit of waste management education and encouragement for why it is important that we all do our part to keep Bermuda beautiful!
“The clinic was attended by 40 local students from public and private schools between the ages of 5 – 14. The one-hour session featured local pros, Bermudian qualifiers who will be playing in this week’s tournament [exciting!] and the always entertaining and informative Bryan Bros Golf!
“We also highlighted KBB’s sustainability partnership with the tournament, which is generously supported by Aspen. This partnership includes efforts to minimize waste and reduce the event’s environmental footprint. It also includes collaboration with Recycle Bermuda to keep TAG items [tin, aluminum, and glass] separated from regular trash.
“Thank you to everyone involved with organizing and hosting the Junior Golf Clinic! Do you know that KBB’s education programs and community outreach span way beyond classrooms and school assembly presentations? Contact us today to schedule a KBB activity, presentation, or lesson for your school or youth-serving organization.”
