Donna Raynor Attends Top Athletics Meeting
Donna Raynor has headed to Monaco for her first World Athletics Council meeting since she became the first Bermudian elected to the governing body in August.
“On my way to my first World Athletics Council meeting,” Raynor, the former Bermuda National Athletics Association [BNAA] president, posted online yesterday [December 5]. “A lot of pre-reading, but I’m ready for it.
“So exciting to be part of the decision-making for the sport I love. The Bermuda airport looks beautiful with the tree decorated in Bermuda colours.”
Raynor also received the Plaque of Merit from Sebastian Coe, president of World Athletics since 2015, last summer.
