Bermudian motorcycle racer Aeziah Divine has signed for top British development team Microlise Cresswell Racing.
The 14-year-old will debut in the R&G British Talent Cup Moto3 class in the premier national championship, the Bennetts British Superbikes [BSB].
Divine met team owner John Cresswell last week to discuss future plans, including opportunities for a long-term relationship as both parties aspire to compete in the FIM JuniorGP World Championship.
He will be part of a five-rider line-up and compete in the sole British Moto3 class on a Honda NSF250R motorcycle.
“l can’t wait to start the R&G British Talent Cup season with such a great team as Microlise Cresswell Racing,” Divine told Bernews.
“l want to say thanks again to John Cresswell for this opportunity. I’ll be training harder than ever this year in Spain and England to be ready for each round.”
The series will race at national circuits around the UK, including Brands Hatch, Donington Park, and a season highlight at Silverstone GP Circuit alongside the British MotoGP Grand Prix.
The season opener will be at Circuito de Navarra in Spain from April 18 to 21.
Divine believes Derbyshire-based Microlise Cresswell Racing will be the perfect environment to continue his development as a rider and is excited to test himself in the British Talent Cup.
“Having team-mates to learn from each other, share data, and work together will also be really beneficial as it will be my first time competing in a team environment,” he added.
“It will also be great to race with so many friends again that are already in or joining the British Talent Cup for the first time this year.”
Microlise Cresswell Racing, who won the R&G British Talent Cup title in 2021, have competed in Bennetts British Superbikes for more than ten years, and have supported many young riders to progress through elite British and European pathways.
Last year, Divine competed in the Moto5 class in the Finetwork MIR Racing Cup at various circuits across Spain on a 250cc MIR-Racing Moto5 motorcycle.
Divine is seeking sponsors and partners to help him continue representing Bermuda while competing internationally.
He is sponsored locally by Aries Sports Centre, Butterfield & Vallis, and John Carreiro Sr and family.
