Three people have been arrested and a “quantity of suspected heroin, drug paraphernalia, and cash” has been seized, the police confirmed today.

A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service [BPS] issued a public advisory on 20th February 2024, concerning the suspected presence of fentanyl-laced heroin in the community, which has resulted in the hospitalisation of three individuals.

“On Saturday, 24th February 2024, the BPS executed an operation dubbed ‘Operation Holly’, under the authority of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

“Police officers from the Drug Unit, Tactical Department, and Criminal Investigation Unit participated in the exercise.
