Narraway Continues Competing In Tour of Gila
Scott McGill won the reduced bunch sprint on stage 2 of the 36th Tour of the Gila, out-pacing Wilmar Zapata at Fort Bayard.
A total of 95 elite men including Nicholas Narraway took the start line at 9 a.m. local time in Fort Bayard, New Mexico on Thursday for the second day of racing on the inner loop road race p/b Brian & Lynn Robinson/SW Bone & Joint Institute.
Stage 2 covered 76.2 miles which is 122.6km, with 6,056 feet or 1,840 meters of elevation, with McGill clocking 3:07:04, and Paredes also had the same time.
Narraway is representing team California p/b verge, and was ruled 34th across the line at the same time as the winner.
After the two stages, Narraway sits in 20th place overall with a combined time of 6:32:29, Narraway is 3 minutes and 25 seconds behind the leader Zapata.
