Diabetes Association To Participate In Ag Show
The Bermuda Diabetes Association [BDA] will advocate for healthier lifestyles at the upcoming 83rd Agricultural Exhibition.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Diabetes Association is excited to announce its participation in the upcoming 83rd Agricultural Exhibition, which will take place from April 18th to April 20th. As part of this longstanding tradition spanning over 30 years, the BDA will be hosting a stall dedicated to advocating for healthier lifestyles.
“The Agricultural Show is a beloved tradition in Bermuda, attracting a diverse range of community members and visitors. By offering nutritious options, the BDA aims to raise awareness about the importance of making healthy dietary choices.”
Lori Rockhead, Executive Director at the Bermuda Diabetes Association, said, “Amidst the excitement and festivities of the Ag Show, the Association is providing mouth-watering fresh fruit as a healthy option for snacking. Our stall offers attendees the opportunity to enjoy delicious, nutritious options that support their overall health and well-being.
“In addition to providing access to wholesome and nutritious snacks, our stall will serve as an educational platform on nutrition. We will also stress the importance of hydration by promoting water as an ideal choice for overall health.”
The spokesperson said, “The Association is committed to empowering our community with the knowledge and resources needed to combat the prevalence of diabetes and promote overall wellness. We believe that events like the Ag Show provide an excellent opportunity to engage with the public and inspire positive lifestyle changes.”
Ms. Rockhead said, “The BDA extends its heartfelt gratitude to the generous donors who have supported the stall.
