Carnival Offering ‘One Unified Road Experience’
Carnival in Bermuda said they “are excited to have one unified road experience through NOVA Mas International, we encourage all carnival lovers, community members and patrons who have previously supported other carnival bands to register with NOVA Mas International for Revel de Road.”
A spokesperson said, “As Bermuda gears up to host Carnival in Bermuda from June 12th to 17th, anticipation is reaching new heights. With collaborative efforts from the Bermuda Government, Bermuda Tourism Authority [BTA], local event promoters, and vendors, the stage is set for an electrifying celebration of Caribbean culture. This year marks the third consecutive year of Carnival in Bermuda, promising an unforgettable blend of soca music, fetes, local experiences, big energy and endless vibes.
“The Carnival in Bermuda Weekend will showcase an array of events from local promoters, including Evolve, Army Fete, Oasis Sunrise Rise, Flag Invasion, Classic Old School Fete, We Love Dancehall, Swizzle@ Sunrise, Soca in the City, Euphoria, Wetta, Glow and Pure each offering a unique vibe and experience. Carnival in Bermuda are also excited for our signature events; the newly introduced Harbour Nights: Carnival in Bermuda Family Fete on Wednesday, June 12th, the exhilarating Raft Up on Saturday, June 15th, and the vibrant J.A.M on Monday, June 17th, adding a modern twist to the traditional J’Ouvert celebration. The pinnacle of the weekend, Revel de Road, will dazzle spectators with the spectacle of carnival culture, featuring mesmerizing costumes, vibrant colors, and infectious energy.
“Revel de Road will spotlight one carnival band NOVA Mas International on June 17th, presenting their highly anticipated 2024 presentation, AVA, and introducing their innovative new concept, Rave, with a special section paying tribute to Bermuda’s fashion stylist, Shiona Turini. Recognizing its significance as both a vibrant cultural celebration and a crucial contributor to the local economy, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Owen Darrell reiterated the Government’s commitment to Carnival in Bermuda. “The success of Carnival weekend is attributed to collaborative efforts from various stakeholders, including event organizers, sponsors, vendors, and volunteers,” stated Minister Owen Darrell. “I express heartfelt gratitude to all those involved for their dedication and contribution to the event’s success.
