Sail GP is Americas Cup light! Why are we allowing this?

The America’s Cup only gave hundreds of millions of dollars to foreign billionaires. We cannot afford to do that again!

    • Triangle Drifter says:

Oh good grief, I hope that is sarcasm.

I doubt if much taxpayer money is going into this event. After all, the PLP made it very clear that they are not interested in rich white guys and their sailboats.

Let’s hope that This Government is keeping it’s sticky fingers out of it besides some rental income for Cross Island and Morgan’s Point.

Even for the non sailors Sail GP is a great event. Everyone likes a high speed race, no matter the vehicle.

      • Joe Bloggs says:

Like Pathways to Status, it appears that SailGP is only a bad idea when it is an idea promoted by the opposition. When promoted by the PLP Government it is a great idea.

And yes, SailGP can be (and I hope it is) enjoyed by all.

    • Billy says:

Why because it didn’t cost tax payers another 70 million, which the OBA paid out to a bunch of billionaires last time.

No doubt all their surrogates will there in full force with grimy smiles.
