Video: Sunday April 14th “Good News” Spotlight
News that Endeavour hosted its annual Women on the Water event to empower and inspire female youth sailors, KraftHeinz Cares raised $3,657 for Teen Haven, the 59th annual Primary School Art Exhibition was hosted at the Bermuda Society of Arts, and 16 female middle school students completed the second annual She Leads Middle School Conference at BHS were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news Nahki Wells scored twice for the Bristol City team as they played to a 5-0 win against Blackburn Rovers, Trey Mallory won two matches for UNC, Sincere Hall scored winning goal in stoppage time, Za’Khari Turner scores for River City and Seri Fisher won silver medals in both traditional Kata and staff weapons at the North American Open Championships in Las Vegas
Other good news stories included Atlantic Podiatry launching a $47,000 scholarship, the Green Family contributing $5,000 towards the celebrations of the 175th Anniversary of Portuguese Emigration to Bermuda, Alexcie Burrows and her Virginia State University women’s tennis teammates defeated Marymount 7 – 2, Kenni Thompson scored for Bournemouth and Sam Williamson broke the Bermuda 400m swim record.
