MoonGate Medical Holds First Health Fair
MoonGate Medical held a health fair at the Seventh Day Adventist Hall in Hamilton on May 9.
A spokesperson said, “MoonGate Medical, a division of the MoonGate Group, held its first health fair at the Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Hall on May 9th 2024. The theme was ‘know your numbers!’
“Participation from vendors spanned the gamut of the healthcare industry in Bermuda and included approximately 36 partners of MoonGate, as well six Government departments, who conducted all-important free screenings.
“MoonGate Group CEO, Leon Bascome, gave an opening speech to the guests and healthcare providers and thanked all for coming together to enable the community event.
“Energizewellness instructor April Chouldry, along with her dance team started the afternoon with lively demonstrations, encouraging the audience to join in on the fun. Later, there was a yoga meditation from Tracey Gibbons of Heaven N Earth Yoga who was amazingly able to transform the room into one of tranquility. Attendees were treated to a variety of services including massages, kidney checks, BP monitoring and receive health, pharmaceutical and nutritional information. There were even opportunities to speak to counselors.
“Throughout the afternoon, the fair had short discussions by MoonGate Medical physicians Dr. Caren Griffith Fadlin spoke on health nutrition and supplemental Neo Life products, while Dr. Andrea Gilford Johnson spoke on basic health care, numbers to watch out for and the necessity of having regular annual health checks, no matter the age.
“Chantel Simons, Business Development Manager at MoonGate Group, said she enjoyed organizing the event and was happy to see health care providers come together for our community and collaborate on their professional services. She said that a number of them said how they were happy to meet other health care providers in the industry. She also thanks them for the numerous raffle prizes donated, who she was able to distribute to attendees.
