The Epsilon Theta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha hosted the 22nd Alpha Beautillion, with Anaihje Santos-Martin, Jonah Trott, Kijali Jean-Marie, Neriah Bean, Norre Robinson, and Tajer Basden all taking part.
A spokesperson said, “The Epsilon Theta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. proudly hosted the 22nd Alpha Beautillion Programme on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium. This year’s event continued the tradition of excellence, showcasing the talents, achievements, and potential of Bermuda’s finest young men.
“The 2024 Alpha Beautillion Programme featured six outstanding participants: Anaihje Santos-Martin, Jonah Trott, Kijali Jean-Marie, Neriah Bean, Norre Robinson, and Tajer Basden. Each Beau demonstrated exceptional dedication, leadership, and academic prowess throughout the programme, which is designed to prepare high school seniors for their future endeavors through mentorship, skill-building workshops, and community service.
“The evening was filled with inspiring speeches, talent displays, and a celebration of each participant’s journey. Families, friends, community leaders, and supporters gathered to honor the hard work and commitment of these young men.
“The winner of the 2024 Alpha Beautillion was Tajer Basden [CedarBridge Academy]. Neriah Bean [Bermuda Institute] and Kijali Jean-Marie [Saltus Grammar School] were the 1st and 2nd runners up respectively. All six participants will receive scholarship awards commensurate with their final placement totalling more than $15,000.
“The success of the 22nd Alpha Beautillion Programme would not have been possible without the support of community partners, the dedication of the parents, and the hard work of the committee members. Their collective efforts ensured that the programme provided a transformative experience for each participant.
“The Epsilon Theta Lambda Chapter extends its heartfelt congratulations to all the participants and their families. We are immensely proud of these young men and confident that they will continue to embody the values of Alpha Phi Alpha as they pursue their dreams and make meaningful contributions to society.
