Khano Smith’s Rhode Island Claim Victory
Khano Smith’s Rhode Island claimed a 3-1 win away to San Antonio in the United Soccer League [USL] Championship yesterday [September 28].
Albert Dikwa gave Rhode Island the lead in the first minute before Juan Agudelo equalised for San Antonio in the 20th minute.
Clay Holstad restored the away side’s lead in the 51st minute before Joe Brito added Rhode Island’s third in the 83rd minute.
Smith, a former Bermuda and New England Revolution winger, was appointed as head coach and general manager of Rhode Island in March last year.
Rhode Island, sixth in the Eastern Division, are at home to the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Saturday [October 5].
