Nominations Open For Annual Sports Awards
Nominations are now open for Bermuda’s 43rd Annual Sports Awards, honoring top athletes and teams until December 31, 2024.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport is excited to announce that nominations are now open for the 43rd Annual Sports Awards, celebrating Bermuda’s outstanding athletes, teams, and sports ambassadors. The nomination process officially begins today, Friday, November 1, 2024, and will close on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 11:59 PM.
“Nomination forms are available to the general public and National Sports Governing Bodies [NSGBs] and can be accessed on the Ministry’s website at www.sportsandrec.bm. We encourage all sports organizations, athletes, coaches, and the community to participate by nominating individuals and teams who have demonstrated exceptional commitment, sportsmanship, and achievement in Bermudian sports.”
Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sport Owen Darrell expressed his enthusiasm for this year’s awards, stating, “The Annual Sports Awards offer a powerful platform to honor the incredible dedication and talent that drive Bermuda’s athletic community. We proudly celebrate those who inspire and uplift our nation, and we look forward to recognizing their remarkable achievements and contributions.”
