Traffic Notice For Turkey Trot 8K Race On Dec 1

The Ministry of Public Works has issued a road traffic notice for the Swans Running Club/Northshore Medical Turkey Trot 8k race on Sunday [Dec 1].

A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the Swans Running Club/Northshore Medical Turkey Trot 8k race will occur on Sunday, December 1st, 2024, between 8:00 am and 10:30 am. The following roads will be affected:

Race Routes:

“The race commences and concludes at the Northshore Medical and Aesthetics Center on Northshore Road. The participants continue East along Northshore Road to the first turnaround at the Barkers Hill roundabout. They traverse the roundabout to continue West along Northshore Road to the second turnaround at the Pembroke Community Club. The participants traverse the turnaround and continue East on Northshore Road to the finish line.

Traffic Control:

“The race will commence on Sunday, December 1st, 2024, at 8:00 am and is expected to conclude by 10:30 am. There will be Race Marshals present to direct traffic along the route. All motorists are expected to use caution and avoid collisions with the race participants. Motorists are asked to follow the instructions given by the Race Marshals to assist with traffic control for this event.

Road Closures:

“There will be no road closures for this event.

“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result. Should there be any questions regarding this event, please direct queries to the attention of the race representative, Ronald Mills, at 334- 8037.

“In addition, the Bermuda police are hereby authorised to ‘Close off’ streets or portions of streets and authorise parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.”
