Annual Butterfield & Vallis 5K Set For Jan 26

The annual Butterfield & Vallis 5K, benefiting Dementia Bermuda, will be held on January 26th.

A spokesperson said, “Butterfield & Vallis is gearing up for the annual Butterfield & Vallis 5K on Sunday January 26, 2025 at our Woodlands Road location.

“Dementia Bermuda, formally known as Action on Alzheimer’s and Dementia, is the chosen charity with all race proceeds going to the amazing work that they do for the Bermuda community.

“The races kick off at 8:00am with a 1k race for Lower Primary students. At 8:30am the Upper Primary and Middle School students will run the 2.7k route followed by the Senior School students and Adults who will start the 5K run and walk at 9:30am.

“$500 will be awarded to the schools with the most entries in each category.

“There are some great draw prizes to be won, as well as prizes for the race winners in their categories.

“Volunteers from Dementia Bermuda will be assisting with number pick-up, marshaling the course, and manning the water stops. The Bermuda Red Cross will be on the course keeping everyone safe.

“Number pick-up is on Saturday, January 25th from 10.00am to 1.00pm. The first 900 participants at number pick-up will receive a B&V 5K shirt and goodie bag filled with products from some of our Butterfield & Vallis brands.

“Special thanks to our sponsoring brands Axe, Carolina Rice, Coca-Cola, Folgers, Jif, KraftHeinz, DelMonte, Pepperidge Farm, Planters, Powerade, Nature Valley, Pure Green, Danone, and Beep.

“Post race refreshments and snacks will be available for participants. We will be adding a new feature this year called the Coca-Cola Cool Down Corner, so be sure to cool down in the Coca-Cola zone when you have finished the race!
