News that Hamilton Princess’ 2025 Honourees for its annual Black History Month celebration will be Catherine Duffy and Patrick Tannock, Open Mat Bermuda claimed nine medals in Toronto, Nahki Wells scored for Bristol City, and the Philharmonic Orchestra’s youth competition was held were among the positive news stories from the past week.
In other positive news, Support Public Schools delivered over $31,000 in school supplies, Bermudian footballers Rahzir Smith-Jones and Reece Jones Jr scored for Binfield, Blake Montgomery scored for the Knights, and Bermuda’s Team Special Olympics ten-pin bowlers finished their campaign in Hong Kong.
Other good news stories included Taylor White notching three wins and setting a meet record, Sancho Smith placing third in the 800m race at the KMS Invitational, and K’Shaela Burch-Waldron scoring twice for Sutton United Ladies in a 2-0 victory.
