Golf: BGA February Monthly Medal Results
Turtle Hill Golf Club played host to the Bermuda Golf Association [BGA] February Monthly Medal, with ideal weather conditions contributing to a fantastic day of golf. A large field of 63 golfers competed across four divisions.
Damian Palanyandi carded the low round of the day, a two-over-par 56, to win the Men’s 1st Flight Division. Three players, Jarryd Dillas, Jamie Macmillan, and Rajesh Pachai, finished just one stroke behind, each shooting a 57.
Teenage star Darina Betschart led a strong field in the Ladies Division, posting a five-over-par 59. Ann Symonds and Tracy Nash both carded rounds of 60.
Vincent Minors Jr. took first place in the Men’s 2nd Flight Division with a round of 65. Shaquille Trott and Lamont Marshall tied for second, both shooting 66.
Nathan Carreiro accumulated the most points in the Junior Division under the Stableford format.
Shaquille Trott celebrated a hole-in-one on the 6th hole in his first BGA tournament. Linda Down won the Closest to Pin prize for the ladies on the 11th hole, and Gordon Cox took the men’s 1st Flight prize for his accurate tee shot on the 8th hole.
