Pembroke Parish Council Awards Scholarships
The Pembroke Parish Council awarded scholarships to Jada Davis, Machai Davis, Adio DeShield Tankard, Kiantae Smith, and Naphtali Smith.
A spokesperson said, “The Pembroke Parish Council recently celebrated and awarded five students scholarships towards their tertiary education. The winners included Jada Davis, Machai Davis, Adio DeShield Tankard, Kiantae Smith and Naphtali Smith.

“Jada Davis received the scholarship for $6,000.00 and is pursuing a degree in business, studying at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
“Machai Davis received $1,500.00 and will be attending Rivier University in New Hampshire, focusing on an Applied Exercise Science Program.
“Adio DeShield Tankard who is studying Liberal Arts and Business at Thomas College in Maine was awarded $1,500.00.
“Kiantae Smith who is pursing a degree in Nursing at Hertfordshire University in England received $1,500.00.
“Naphtali Smith received $1,500.00, attends Southampton Solent University in England and is pursuing a degree in Physiotherapy.
“All the candidates shared that they are interested in improving their community through entrepreneurship and are willing to give back to their community.
“The Council Chair, Betty-Ann Ceasar, stated that the Council is immensely proud of these young people who demonstrate passion and dedication to their studies and ultimately their career goals for the future. The Pembroke Parish Council is delighted to invest in our young people, and we wish them much success as they continue their studies.
