Hopkins Wins Tour De La Guadeloupe Opener
Bermudian cyclist Kaden Hopkins won the opening stage of the 74th Tour Cycliste International de la Guadeloupe, claiming the first leader’s jersey of the tour.
Hopkins completed the 3.6-kilometer individual time trial in Pointe-à-Pitre with a winning time of four minutes and seven seconds.
The victory gives Hopkins an early lead in the general classification. He is five seconds ahead of Kévin Le Cunff, who finished second, and 10 seconds clear of third-place finisher Marc Palmiste Philgy.
