Open Water Bermuda National Championships
The Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association has launched its 2025/26 season with the Open Water Bermuda National Championships. The event at Clearwater Beach saw swimmers compete for national titles across various age groups and distances.
In the 5K race, Craig Munden was the male champion, finishing with a time of 1:10:25. Jorgia White secured the female 5K title with a time of 1:18:50, placing fifth overall.
The 1500m male national championship was won by sixteen-year-old Jackson Langley, who recorded a time of 24:02. Isla Cooze, fourteen, claimed the female national title in the same distance with a time of 25:57, finishing sixth overall.
In the 400m event, Madeleine Friend was crowned the female national champion with the fastest time of 7:08. Niklas Bock claimed the male national championship, finishing as the first male and third overall with a time of 7:37.
