Kayla Bardgett Helps Team Finish On Podium
Bermudian Kayla Bardgett helped the Savannah College of Art and Design equestrian team open their season on a high note at Goucher College in Maryland, where the Tournament of Champions Series celebrated its 35th anniversary.
SCAD entered two squads in the 12-team competition.
Bardgett’s team, SCAD BEE-Strong, claimed third place with 36 points, while SCAD BEE-Power followed closely in fourth with 24 points.
The event featured classes in jumping and flatwork, with 12 entrants competing at each level of the Low and High Medal special classes.
Individually, Bardgett impressed in the Open Flat Class, earning a second-place finish.
