Bardgett Helps SCAD Earn Perfect Score
The Savannah College of Art and Design [SCAD] equestrian team, with a key performance from Bermuda’s Kayla Bardgett, concluded its fall quarter with a second consecutive perfect score at its home Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association [IHSA] event.
SCAD was crowned Champion after earning the maximum 49 points. The University of Central Florida finished as Reserve Champion with 37 points.
Bardgett, a senior, contributed to the team’s win by securing a victory in the Open Flat Class for the second day in a row.
The back-to-back perfect scores affirm SCAD’s position as the IHSA Region 5 Zone 5 leaders. The team heads into the spring semester with 221 total points.
SCAD holds a 59-point lead over the second-placed University of Central Florida [162 points]. The University of North Florida is in third with 141 points.
