Pacers Track Club Competing In Tennessee
The Bermuda Pacers Track Club has traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee, to compete in the 2025 Cross Country Coaches National Youth Championships.
The 12-member team will represent the island in seven individual age groups, ranging from the 8 and under boys’ division to the 17-18 girls’ division. The event regularly draws a significant field from across the United States, with last year’s competition attracting over 1,800 runners across 18 divisions.
Gianluco Bortoli and Tobiah Goodchild will contest the 5K race in the boys 15-16 division. In the senior girls’ categories, Jeada Grant will compete in the 17-18 division, and Azari Jones will run in the 15-16 division. The girls’ races in these categories will cover a 4K distance.
The club has also invited DNA runner Sanchez Smith to join the traveling squad. Smith is entered in the 5K event within the boys 15-16 division.
The roster includes Riana Robinson, Elena Bortoli, Zara Bule, Ronan Davidge, and Spencer Halderman, who will compete in the 13-14 boys’ and girls’ divisions. These athletes will run courses measuring 3K and 4K respectively.
Naomi MacGuinness will represent the club in the girls 11-12 division, running a 3K distance. The team’s youngest member, Elliott Davidge, will compete in the 8 and under boys’ division, which features a 2K race.
