Lumina Festival will host Solara Unplugged on February 21 at The Loren, with the event aiming to ”raise $15,000 to directly support Bermudian artists and to strengthen access to financial literacy education across the island.”

A spokesperson said, “Lumina Festival is proud to present Solara Unplugged, an exclusive live music fundraiser taking place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM at the elegant Marée Lounge, The Loren.

“Held under Temporary Fundraising Licence #T2552, Solara Unplugged aims to raise $15,000 to directly support Bermudian artists and to strengthen access to financial literacy education across the island.

Purpose and Vision

“Solara Unplugged is more than a concert; it is a strategic cultural and economic empowerment initiative. Proceeds from the evening will:

  • “Support over 30 local artists and performers at the inaugural Solara Music and Arts Concert.
  • “Fund the Lumina Financial Literacy Summit.
  • “Subsidize community-based financial literacy workshops to make financial education more affordable and accessible.

“Supporting local artists means supporting sustainable careers. Supporting financial literacy means equipping those artists and the wider community with the tools to build generational stability. Solara Unplugged intentionally bridges culture and economic empowerment.

Featured Talent

“The evening will feature an extraordinary lineup of performers, including:

  • “Special Guest Shélea – An internationally acclaimed singer, songwriter, and pianist discovered by Quincy Jones, who has performed at the White House and Carnegie Hall. Her curated intimate set will showcase the power and vulnerability of contemporary soul, jazz, and gospel.
  • “Host & Featured Artist Zach Wilson – Founder and CEO of Lumina Festival.
  • “Demara Maybury, Gavin Smith, Quinn Kayo, Singabwoy, and more artists to be announced.

“Musical direction for the evening will be led by Justin Wilson, whose classical and contemporary expertise ensures a cohesive and world-class sonic experience.

The Venue

“Set within the refined setting of Marée Lounge at The Loren, the evening offers an intimate, sophisticated atmosphere featuring handcrafted cocktails and gourmet bites. The upscale environment reflects Lumina Festival’s commitment to presenting Bermudian artistry at a premium international standard.

Why the Community Should Support This Initiative

“Solara Unplugged represents a forward-thinking investment in Bermuda’s cultural and economic future. By supporting this initiative, attendees contribute to:

  • “Sustainable creative industry development.
  • “Youth and emerging artist exposure.
  • “Practical financial education that strengthens households and businesses.
  • “A model of cultural programming that integrates art, entrepreneurship, and community upliftment.

“Lumina Festival believes that art without infrastructure struggles to endure. Financial literacy without cultural relevance struggles to engage. Solara Unplugged brings both together.

“This evening marks the beginning of a larger vision — one where Bermuda’s creative excellence is matched by economic resilience. We’d like to thank the Bermuda Arts Council for awarding the Onion Bulb grant to pay local artists at Solara Unplugged.
