Platano Power, Bad News & Kings Hood Win
The Bermuda Softball League opened its season at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond with a triple-header that produced 49 runs.
Platano Power defeated the Parquet Flyers 19–8. Henry Barnes went five-for-five, including two home runs and six RBIs, leading Platano Power to the win. Antoine Adon of the Flyers went three-for-three with a home run.
Earlier, the Bad News Bears beat the Oleander Spark Plugs 8–4. Conor Lohan hit three-for-four with a home run and three RBIs for the Bears. Triston White went two-for-three with two RBIs for the Spark Plugs.
In the final game, Kings Hood defeated Asere 6–4. Troy Richards hit a two-run home run for Kings Hood. Madeys Floso went three-for-three for Asere, but the team was unable to overcome the deficit.
