Sunday June 7th: “Good News” Spotlight
News that Matisse Bascome, Elizabeth Bento, Jade Smith, Stephanie Fleming, Abriana Thomas, China Nisbett, Faheemah Scraders, and Christopher Trott completed associate degrees in nursing at Bermuda College, BermudAir announced new flights to the Cayman Islands and Turks & Caicos, and Dexter “Fudge” Flood was awarded the Bermuda Police Service Commissioner’s Commendation were among the positive stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Gavin Manders won a gold medal in the Mixed Doubles Open at Pickleball Paradise in Trinidad, Reggie Lambe earned Goal of the Year honors at Needham FC’s end-of-year awards, Alec Cutler won the J/70 World Championship in France, and the Bermuda women’s national football team defeated Belize 4-0.
