Police Execute Warrant On Retail Store
Earlier this afternoon and this evening [Oct 1] a heavy Police presence was seen on Court Street as the Bermuda Police Service executed a warrant on a business in the area. Antonio Myers Denies Kumi Harford Murder
Today [Oct 1] in Supreme Court 25-year-old Antonio Myers denied murdering Kumi Harford in December 2009. Mr. Myers, of Rambling Lane, Pembroke, also denied an additional charge of using a firearm to commit an indictable offence. Burglar Steals From St. Peter’s Church
One of Bermuda’s historical and treasured landmarks was broken into, with the Bermuda Police reporting a burglary at St. Peter’s Church in St. George’s. Premier Comments On Turks & Caicos Elections
Dr Ewart Brown today [Oct 1] called a decision by the UK Government to extend the suspension of general elections in Turks and Caicos past the original July 2011 deadline a “dreadful delay.” The TCI Legislature, portions of their constitution and elections were suspended in August 2009 in the wake of corruption allegations within the government.... Former Fugitive Gordon Admits Firearm Offence
28-year-old Omari Gordon, best known for being a fugitive for over a year, today [Oct 1] plead guilty to the charge of discharging a firearm in a public place when he appeared in Supreme Court.
