they need to change the law first in order to do that! tell the new goverment team get to work!

    • Scott says:

change what law? i cant imagine that 10 or 12 years is the maximum penalty for this?

  5. gunner49 says:

Sillysally. Bdashotta was only trying 2 give a posible senario on what might have happened that’s all SILLYSALLY

  6. Stunned says:

Pretty brazen for that time of day…I agree not much deterrent with the latest time these 2 men received I mean come on and they are young so they will be out in their 30′s which will be their prime and then what. Are they going to counsel them while up there? Is it mandatory to continue schooling while there or do you have the option to just sit there and plot what happens or what’s going to happen when you come out? It just doesn’t make much sense to me?!

  7. Brasco says:

I just read the RG, the Police are happy about the “Length” of the sentences handed down yesterday for the two accused shooters….Police are you serious?!?!?!?!?!?

All that hard work you guys do to bring them to justice and your satisfied with those light sentences???…..You guys ain’t serious are you?!?!?….I couldn’t be a police officer in todays climate, I give you guys all the credit but damn you gotta put more pressure on the judges to get serious about crime….

Colonel Burch I know you ain’t happy about those light sentences…guns are illegal in Bermuda right?…and to use them is even worse right?….Throw the “Concurrent” thing out the window will you…..Oh, we have to go Independant first, I forgot.

    • Scott says:

i think they’re just happy they got a conviction, so any sentence is good… :(

      • Stunned says:

Fringing RIDICULOUS! Brasco not to mention the people if any who helped with a conviction they will have to pass these vermin in the street 10-12 yrs from and wonder if they are safe.

  8. anyway says:

What does “actively investigating” even mean? Shouldn’t they be “actively investigating” all crime?

    • Brasco says:

Police seem to be confused as to what they really serious about….and settling just for convictions sounds cheap….Traffic warrants can only take you so far

  9. Totally Disgusted says:

They will start giving out heavier sentences when it happens to one of their own…

  10. Common Sense says:

If the White Hill area is turning into the St. Monica’s Road of the west, why don’t the police have a 24 hour prescense in this area so “gangsters” won’t be so free to use their weapons in such public areas. Kids and innocent victims could easily be hurt!!

  11. terry says:

Shaking heads and turning is a bi-product of society today.

Vocal and communication via the tongue has been lost via this stoopid tv screen.

A great day too all and remember…if you see something untoward….don’t say shit.
