Four Videos: 2010 Remembrance Day Parade

November 11, 2010

Large crowds lined Front Street this morning (Nov 11) for the Remembrance Day Parade, honouring all those who have served in armed conflicts.

Below the combined bands of Somerset Brigade, North Village and Bermuda Islands Pipes and Drums march leading the marquee persons on parade today – Bermuda’s war vets, many of whom are over 80 years old. Most walked, some were pushed in wheelchairs, and all had hard won medals on display:

Below the Bermuda Regiment Band plays as the soldiers of the Bermuda Regiment, and officers of the Bermuda Police Service march onto the Cabinet grounds.

Wreaths are laid by dignitaries including Governor Sir Richard Gozney, Premier Paula Cox, Opposition Leader Kim.Swan, and Mayor Charles Gosling.

The video below shows Bermuda’s war vets standing on Front Street, soldiers and more.
