Video & Photos: Mango Store Launch
Earlier today [Apr.15] Gibbons Company hosted a ribbon cutting and launch party for the new Mango Store, which is located at the back of their Reid Street store.
Mango is a Spanish clothing company based in Barcelona, Catalonia, which has stores in 103 countries worldwide. Gibbons Company CEO Paula Clarke speaks about Mango in the video below, calling it a “contemporary sportswear line,” and said that the prices are the same as the United States.
Mango opened its first store in Barcelona’s Paseo de Gracia in 1984, and soon started to expand across Europe. In 2002 Mango had 630 stores in 70 countries and continued to expand into Australia, Bulgaria, China, Italia and Tunisia, and in 2006 Mango started expansion North American market, opening stores in Costa Mesa, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, McLean, Orlando, San Francisco and Santa Monica. In 2009, actress Scarlett Johansson took over from Penelope Cruz as the face of Mango.
