Appeal For Missing Shih Tzu Puppy

December 27, 2011

[Updated - dog found] A Fairylands couple were left heartbroken over Christmas when their new Shih Tzu ran away and they are now appealing for Pembroke residents to keep an eye out for the missing pup.

Bill and Marie Lusher had only recently lost their beloved Shih Tzu, Zimba, and were thrilled to have found a local breeder who provided them with their new puppy [similar to picture below] just before the holidays.

“Unfortunately, Li [Liam] suddenly went missing on Christmas Eve from their home on Fairylands Lane during a photo shoot with the breeder and his siblings,” said Mr. Lusher’s daughter, Elizabeth. “They are now beside themselves with grief and anxiety over where their little boy could be and if he is OK.

“We appealing to anyone who night have seen little Liam [answers to Li, pronounced 'Lee'] or who can help us to find him to please, please call us.”

Mr. Lusher can be reached at 292-0696, or you can contact Elizabeth Lusher at (h) 295-9666 or (c) 334-8104.

This little puppy belongs to an elderly Bermudian couple who have no children so this little dog is like their child. If you know of anyone who has a puppy like this you should let this couple know or inform the police . It will be the best Xmas present they will ever have to have him returned.

Oh my dear. This is so sad. I just got a yorkie pup and I could not imagine how broken my heart would be if he was to be stolen or ran away. But these Shi’tzu are one of the cutest little things I have ever seen. I pray that you all find him/her in time for a New Years Celebration. Couldnt imagine what I would do without my pup.

As a dog owner, I can only imagine how distressing this must have been! Ive heard that this dog was stolen from the owners. If this is the case, how appalling to do have done that and especially at Christmas! The heartless thief should be prosecuted! So happy to hear this has had a happy ending!:

I am hearing there is more to this than it appears. Rumours are it was stolen and recovered.

It’s sad that the person (they know who they are) is going to get away with fraud and theft!
