Ironshore Partners On Support Line

March 8, 2012

Bermuda’s Ironshore Inc. and The Workplace HELPLINE L.L.C. are partnering to provide an employment practices support line programme for public entities in the US.

Called the EPLI Helpline, the program allows clients to direct specific questions to specialised employment attorneys about more than 50 risk management, human resources, employment law and compliance issues.

Documented responses are returned within 24 hours.

“Employers confront continuously changing employment laws regarding compliance with federal and state regulations, hiring practices, workforce reduction protocols, harassment, discrimination, and medical leave issues, such as the Family Medical Leave Act that are among today’s top human resource issues,” said Susan Kostro, senior vp of the specialty casualty division, in a statement. “The new EPLI Helpline is designed to provide timely responses to employers’ questions regarding how to manage risk exposure through their respective workplace employment policies and practices.”

The specialty division will be working with Boston-based HELPLINES’s public entity group. The service will include toll-free and website submission access, as well as access to unlawful-harassment training for supervisors and employees, a state-by-state employee handbook builder and webinars and alerts approved by the Human Resource Certification Institute.

Established in Bermuda in 2006 by industry veteran Robert Clements, Ironshore provides broker-sourced specialty property and casualty insurance coverages for varying risks on a global basis through its international platforms.
