High Tea To Celebrate Queen’s Diamond Jubilee
Project Action will be holding a Bermuda Reception “High Tea” in celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. This fund-raising event will take place in the Harbour Room, Fairmont Hamilton Princess on Sunday, 3 June, 2012 at 4pm.
Project Action Founding Director, Mrs. Cindy Swan said, “Many of our Seniors have limited access to physicians’ appointments, gathering groceries, or just social gatherings and their need for interaction and stimulation are our often forgotten generation.”
“Project Action, a Bermudian registered charity since 2000, has long been committed to serving our Seniors transportation needs island-wide giving them free door to door transport with their red and blue van and with the blue and blue van provides rest homes with a monthly drive outs and help any seniors organization with free transport to events.”
“At this special fund-raising event for Project Action, there will be a High Tea at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel. Each of the island’s high school and college has been invited with a special ticket student rate to allow the young people to attend the event to show philanthropic support for the senior charity and for the young people to share in a social grand event. Invitations are also extended to visiting tourist so they can join in the celebration.”

“In addition to the “High-Tea” for which the Fairmonts are famous and a long standing British tradition, there will also be a “Best” hat competition and a “Best Dressed” award. We will also feature a petite silent auction of items related to the royals and their weddings. There will also be a period hat show surprise.”
