Possible Election Results, Looking At The Seats

December 16, 2012

After weeks of election ads, events, and the parties exchanging words, we are less than 24 hours away from the 2012 General Election.

Three different polls [performed and commissioned by separate entities] all show the OBA leading the PLP by double digits. The polls surveyed between 400 – 548 people, with a margin of error of around ±4.50%.

The outcome will not be determined by popular vote – it’s done by seats — with the winning party needing the majority [19] of the 36 constituency seats. As of now, the PLP has 24 seats, the OBA 10, while Kim Swan & Charles Swan hold the last 2.

The numbers mean the PLP needs to lose at least 6 seats to no longer have the majority, the OBA need to gain 9 seats to have the majority, an equal split of 18-18 will result in a hung parliament, while some of the 15 Independents could end up wielding power should they be elected and the results between the two major parties are close.

The results of the last two elections [which were done under the same single seat constituencies we have now] are below divided by highest and lowest margins of victory.

In addition to general election and candidate issues, the variables which may impact include the boundary changes which have adjusted the voters in some constituencies, the change of party allegiance by some MPs, and the fifteen Independent candidates.

Seats Won By Highest Percentage In 2007 & 2003

Half the 36 seats were won with over 60% of the vote by the same party in 2007 and 2003. Of these 18 seats, 13 are held by the PLP, and 5 by the OBA.

There were six seats won with over 75% of the vote in 2003 and 2007. The constituency number and the 2012 candidates for those seats are: #12 Craig Cannonier [OBA], #15 Walter Roban [PLP], #16 Michael Weeks [PLP], #20 Susan Jackson [OBA], #22 Dr Grant Gibbons [OBA] and #23 Pat Gordon Pamplin [OBA]

In addition, #12 and #16 were contested in bye-elections in the past few years, with both seeing the voters returning results over 85% in favour to the respective side. The bye-election in #12 was the first seat contested under the OBA’s banner.

The 18 seats that were won by 60% or over in the last two elections are below:

Constituency Political Party 2012 Election Candidate
#5 Hamilton East PLP Derrick Burgess
#8 Smith’s South UBP Cole Simons
#12 Devonshire South Central UBP + OBA in 2011 bye-election Craig Cannonier

Seats Won By Lowest Percentage In 2007 & 2003

Four of the 36 seats changed hands in the last general election: C#2 St. George’s West, #3 St David’s, C#4: St. George’s South and C#30 Southampton East Central.

The PLP went into the 2007 election with 22 seats to the UBP’s 14, and as both parties took two seats from the other, the 2007 election resulted in the same 22-14 seat split as the 2003 election.

Different people will have various views on what seats are in play, and this is where the variables [Independents, boundaries & party changing] could have an impact that was not seen in 2003 or 2007.

The unprecedented number of Independents has made 12 of the 36 constituencies 3 or 4-way battles, and the boundary changes may impact multiple constituencies.

In addition, multiple MPs have changed party affiliation since 2007 when the UBP won 14 seats. Of those 14, the OBA hold 10, the PLP hold two [#6 & #7], and the remaining two [#2 & #31] are running as Independents.

Looking Back

On two occasions the Governing party has lost the number of seats needed for political power to change hands in 2012. In the 1989 election the UBP retained power however dropped 31 seats to 23, and in 1998 the PLP unseated the UBP after claiming 8 of their seats.

Thanks for this article Bernews!! Very informative.

    • Snoopy says:

I have just watched President Obama’s speech to residents at Newtown in Newtown and it made me cry again. The Newtown kids are mostly white, but they are America”s children and Obama”s children. He has fundatenally felt this as a parent, not a black man, not a white, bit a parent. We are so missing this seniment in Bermuda, it makes me cry more.

      • Judge Dredd says:

That’s very cold of you to use those children’s murder and our collective anguish to draw political correlations. Its downright evil. We are all crying for those children and you have the audacity to mention that they are white? Shut the hell up! YOU are the one who just used race when NOBODY cares what race those poor children are, they were CHILDREN and we are all devastated by this. I’m tired of you people trying to seize upon moments like this to silence the call for racial equality and justice. I refuse to be browbeaten by such false cries. You are suggesting that blacks our whites in Bermuda wouldn’t cry or feel distraught by the murder of children of a different race? ? Again please shut the hell on up.

        • Fed Up says:

You totally missed what they were trying to say. Have a Blessed Day

          • Judge Dredd says:

Thank you, you have a blessed day as well. No, I fully understood what they were saying and the underlying nuances and implications of what they said. People don’t take responsibility for the comparisons they draw. What the poster said achieves what is called extractive identification. If you already know what that is or research it you’ll understand where I’m coming from too.

            • Come Correct says:

Are you on rocks or do you just spread divisiveness at all costs? Do I need to set myself on fire for you to call me something other than white? The color of my skin does not define me, the color of yours does not define who YOU ARE. Children were killed in cold blood, it doesnt matter what they looked like before but I guarentee you the blood spilled on the floor was red. Everything YOU post about has to do with race, along with many others. WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?! Are you incapable of seeing us all as people? I want you to show me one instance President Barack Obama has separated people by the color of their skin…if you cant you should take a hammer to your fingers because you cant seem to type anything besides racial divisiveness. Sick f@ckin people.

Today I saw an elderly lady walking, I pulled over and asked if she wanted a lift, she accepted. Whether or not she felt uncomfortable sitting next to a younger male, she arrived home safely and not completely exhausted, smiled and said thank you, I said not a problem. Only now typing this do i realize she was black, I didnt care what she looked like when she got in my car. We all deserve to be treated as equals. IMO racial divisiveness should be eradicated from this world BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY, lucky I dont run the world, I can think of multiple unorthodox methods to do so.

              • Judge Dredd says:

Go back and read the comments because you just made an @$$ out of yourself. SNOOPY said the children are white and I said I don’t care what colour they are they are children. So your racist prejudice made you assume, without reading and without evidence, that I was the guilty party when your comment should have been directed to SNOOPY. Don’t worry we are used to this treatment. The black guy is the guilty one. Now are you woman enough to apologise or will you just ignore this injustice?

              • Judge Dredd says:

Oh yet ANOTHER “I did something for a nice old black lady today” story? Did you forget you told that one already? A couple of weeks ago you held a door open for a sweet old black lady. You know the fact that you think those incidents are worthy of mention lifts your skirt up so high. Everybody does that on a DAILY basis for anyone without a THOUGHT about who it is let alone their race. Only a racist would feel like they deserve a trophy because unlike the rest of us, they have to go through a pre and post intrapsychic exercise just to do what ordinary human beings do like hold doors open for people. Lol you’re a clown.

      • Delaey Robinson says:

I could not agree more. It is too bad that one of our statesmen/stateswomen have not risen to this level. There are incumbent politicians who come closer than many towards filling this essential role for our little island. However it is not in the hands nor heart of a leader alone. America remains a deeply divided country politically and racially as does Bermuda. It is probably more up to us individual citizens to bridge the gulf between the races and across the political divide. To start it would be great if comments and blogs reported fact and evidence based opinions and left out the hateful barbs that perpetuate the divide. We must not only hope but do our individual bits, I think, to reach the day when Bermudians of all stripes and persuasions cry tears of joy upon seeing clear signs that the race card is no longer necessary and no longer works.

        • Nanny Pat says:

“America remains a deeply divided country politically and racially as does Bermuda.”

Hang on a minute – BERMUDA IS WAY MORE RACIST THAN AMERICA! Let’s just get that out there right now. I lived in rural Alabama in the early 70′s and even back then the racism didn’t compare to what is happening in Bermuda now! This is the most vile, racist place on the planet. Do not even compare us to America. We are disgusting. Our “leaders” breed racism and thrive on it. So sad. We don’t have to be this way but our leaders choose to keep it alive. Sad.

          • huh says:

Mix me one of those drinks… that is such a crazy sttement ñany pat

            • Let me get this str8 says:

              why?

my african co-workers, from Zimbabwe and Kenya, also stated the same thing to me a few days back. never have they experienced a such a racist election campaign. they found the puppet ad to be highly disrespectful.

just because in BDA some are taught that such nastiness is justified and moral, doesn’t make it so.

the people that you guys attack, label and denigrate are fellow Bermudians who only want the best for our island.

  2. Election Result says:

    PLP 20 seats

    period

    • Portia says:

      How do you figure that? From what I see, the PLP have strongholds in only 15 areas: #36, #35, #34, #33, #32, #29, #27, #26, #24, #21, #18, #17, #16, #15, and #5.

Areas #25, #13, #10, #6, and #1 are far too close. The results in those constituencies in the last two elections were very close, and I notice, where the PLP did manage to retain those seats in 2007, these was a drop in support from 2003, by at least a few percentage points, particularly in #13, #10 and #6.

      • Ryan says:

I agree. The above election result is not at all favored by the variables in play.

    • frank says:

well you better come again plp 24 seats rooms are reserved at aunt brenda,s for michael dunckley and the rest of those fools

      • media says:

Listen, the OBA can handle a loss a lot better than the PLP. The PLP members will be shellshocked for weeks to come. The OBA members, if they lost, know how to handle a loss a lot better because many of them have been there before. The PLP on the other hand have it all to lose.

It’s too close to call anyhow. We all have to wait until tomorrow night to see.

        • Nitty Gritty says:

A PLP win is a loss for everyone, they just don’t know it yet.
Either way about 50% of the population is gonna have a depressing Christmas. PLP victory is a depressing future.
Thanks for ruining Christmas, PLP. Guess it matches the economy
          now.

    • Decembah seventeenth says:

Well technicallyl 35 seats are PLP safe seats and are theirs to lose, the only safe OBA seat is #12. I say this because no one has ever voted for the OBA before other than in constituency 12 where Craig was elected. If you’re saying the old UBP strongholds are now OBA strongholds then the OBA must be the new UBP. That report sounds accurate now huh……

      • Onion says:

Hmmm possibly…. or maybe it’s a distinct lack of canvassing on the part of PLP candidates and a lack of any direction in talking to them. The PLP candidate for my constituency came to my house once for a total of 5 mins. He asked who i voted for in 2007 i told him UBP and he basically killed out discussion and told me that he was “an option” and dedicated to public service. Please you’re going to have to do better than that. I’ve seen my OBA candidate at least 5 times and he holds regular meetings to talk about issues.

    • Fed Up says:

      PLP “0″

3 words – Time for Change!

  4. Come Correct says:

Plp will win, Bermuda will lose. Simple.

    • M.P.Mountbatten JP says:

If Bermuda is the OBA … Then you are correct . Really simple .

      • Come Correct says:

No Bermuda is the island I live on, approximately 700 miles from the U.S. in the Atlantic. Ever heard of it? Whats so hard to understand? You’ll get it in 5 years, maybe less.

        • M.P.Mountbatten JP says:

Sooo are you saying that you live on a Island of losers ?

          • Come Correct says:

Did the plp teach you to spin like a top?

            • M.P.Mountbatten JP says:

              Answer the question .

              • Come Correct says:

I dont need to answer the question because if thats what I meant I would have said it. Stop spinning. Clearly you’re having difficulty understanding still.

                • M.P.Mountbatten JP says:

                  You are dismissed .

                  • Hey says:

And that is how the PLP representative treats Bermudians…. PLP ministers v people (them and us) perhaps they really are taking their divisiveness thing way too far. Inner Circle v everyone else…Ouch

                • Terry says:

The PLP voters know that Mr. Dunkley and Mr. Gibbons are smarter then Craig. Pure strategy is all it is. The plp apply race into it………and the oba continue having blacks as front man because they are afraid to push their own whites.

Both parties are playing the RACE CARD at the end of the day!

                  • Delaey Robinson says:

And that is because we the voters fall for it both ways. If we stopped playing up to the race card when some politician, from either side, plays it, then they would soon stop it and get on with the issues.

          • Bermuda NEEDS help says:

according to the results of the last election…YES

      • Hey says:

        Let me see…

If you want promises, plans, promise to plan, commitments to plan to build a plan the VOTE PLP.

If you want hard working people who are in it to make Bermuda work for Bermudians (that’s YOU) then VOTE OBA.

If you want to be a divided country that will never work together then VOTE PLP

If you believe United We Stand Divided we Fall, vote OBA

If you think the recent exam results were succesful as claimed by Smith, VOTE PLP

If you believe your children deserve a better education, more opportunities and choice to succeed and have a future, whether that be in technical or academic fields then VOTE OBA

If you believe a failed finance minister with no financial background should be a leader whilst not giving up that ministry so they can get two pay packets vote PLP

If you believe in putting the best people in the positions to ensure the best job is done, VOTE OBA

If you believe that you should pay someone more than once for a job you have already paid them to do, VOTE PLP

If you believe in Ethics accountibility, honesty and a true view into how your money is being used, vote OBA

Under the current PLP jobs are dissapearing, money is dissapearing , Accountant Genrals are dissapearing, Mid Year financials are dissapearing, Ministers (where has Paul been in all these crisis) are dissapearing, public property is dissapearing to just less than 21 year leases to recently made up pretend programs. Bermuda is dissapearing ..the PLP blame the Triangle….but they are the leaders….perhaps they in their current disguises they are just not up to the job we put them in!!!!!!

        Remember…..

People who Do get things Done,
People who talk alot, talk alot and waste everybodies time.

Don’t be so hard on yourself M.P.Mountbaten JP..yes your post is a horrible read, but come on at least you had a go.

some fools said the same thing in 98

  5. kevin says:

One just has to believe that the electorate will vote for the future they want if you happy with the last 10 years and the direction we are going then no need to vote change. If you are doubtful and not happy where we seem to heading then the choice is simple.

    • Terry says:

      Well said Kevin.
We will see and suffer more or head down a road to recovery. Takes time.

  6. Hey says:

If the PLP wins after an evil divisive election campaign, where they couldn’t run on their record, because they have failed at just about everything, without taking responsibility for the failure, then you really have to question who we are as Bermudians. How did we become easily led by shiny lights and rallies while the leaders squander our futures and any hope.

If you hired someone to replace your hurricane damaged roof and they failed to come and build a roof, but said they would build it everytime you asked and every time an election was approaching held press conferences at the site of the missing roof with new promises, then they borrowed using your house as collateral, I think you’d be a bit angry. Well this is what the PLP have been doing. If you like being taken advantage of vote PLP.

    • M.P.Mountbatten JP says:

First paragraph.. Just reinvent yourself if you have to question who you are , follow the example given to you by the UBP/OBA .

Second paragraph…Load of bloody tripe !!

      • SoMuchMore says:

M.P. if you want to fall in a deeper hole and think that everything is a’okay… go right ahead! But remember you too will fail yourself.

Let’s move forward and upward. It is time for a Change.

      • Hey says:

You post bears no relevance to what was offered, clearly you are a PLP minister that don’t listen , can’t take responsibility for your actions, blames everyone else for your failings and can’t understand why we are 1.5Bn in debt or why we do not believe you FAKE promises. WE ARE BERMUDIAN, WE ARE NOT STUPID, WE PAY YOUR WAGES, SO STOP INSULTING US ALL!!!!!!

      • Back to Life, Back to Reality says:

Hey MP Mountbatten, it has been asked of you many times but you never answer. Why vote PLP. Tell me what part of Bermuda is better off today than 13 years ago. I will list the things that have not improved to make it easier for you. If you don’t agree with the list – explain please.

        Education – worse
        Employment – down
        International Business – Leaving
Hotel Romms Available – Far Less
Cruise Ship Visits – 12 Less Next Year Because A Minister Forgot to sign the Contract
        Economy – Worse
        National Debt – Up
        Tourism Figures – Down
        Crime – up
Serious Crimes (Murder) – way up
        Race Relations – Worse
        Transparency – There is none

Lets Not forget all the drama surrounding:
600+ million in Unaccounted For PUBLIC money.
99 year lease for Coco Reef?
        T-Street home (government money scam)
        Cedar Beams missing?
Berkeley – $40 Million over and built after the PLP complained about te UBP building Cedarbridge.
Unqualified and / or unregistered/uncertified teachers teaching our children.
        TCD Contract Awarded to F&F
        Bda Emissions Contract – F&F
Cruise Ship Pier – F&F + Overbudget – And broken after 2 years

Faith Based Tourism – Wheres the Money
        PLP Ministers 2X Pay
        BLDC
Excessive Travel with no seen benefit.
        Fist Fighting PLP ministers …sssshhhhh

I could go on and on and on. Explain why ANYONE should vote for them.

        • HSM says:

Well said! That about sums up the PLP “successes” over the last 13 years.

          • Back to Life, Back to Reality says:

I always find it strange that with all the PLP supporters I can never get any one of them to answer these posts. I have posted these questions a few times now and I have seen others ask similar questions. However, of the 30,000+ PLP supporters I can’t get one to dispute the above and show me how we are better of today than we were 13 years ago! Some how they pretend to not see these questions and reply with misdirected, hate filled, distorted and untrue desperate comments like – the OBA is the UBP – the secret document…LOL

Hey PLP supporters, now is your chance! You have less that 24 hours to answer the above and help me to “stand up” and Xpress Myself and Make it Happen! Somehow Im guess – like the past you will all ignore the questions and pretend you don’t “see it”.

If the PLP wins – is that really a victory for Bermuda? Is it really a victory for the PLP, is it even a victory for black Bermudians or is it just a victory for the Friends & Family of the PLP Top Brass!

The belief that the electorate has matured – beyond the powerful lure of race-based politics, is stronger than ever. The current Government have heard from that electorate that there has been significant shortcomings. An alternative appears to be taken seriously. My money is on a change in Government.

  9. SoMuchMore says:

Flip Flop Furbert is sending out an Election Prayer (to people on his e-mail list)for the PLP, so sad. You all need to see it. LOL

    • Bullseye says:

Makes sense. Everything about the PLP is based on a belief and not performance or anything tangible.

Look – we built a building! Yet it cost twice as much.

Look – 95% graduation rate! Yet over 70% would have failed if they were on international standards.

Five years ago 1/8 of the budget would have brought our debt to zero. Today a 1/4 of our budget is needed just to pay the interest on our debt which is monstrous and will only get bigger for there isnt enough money for the people when hundreds of millions are needed for debt service.

I hope Bermudians who love the PLP will discipline them like they would their kids and give them a timeout for five years. Letting the PLP disrespect us with spin on everything and hidden books should not go unpunished. They need a reality check for we are the ones suffering and working harder for less and less each year.

    • SoMuchMore says:

I could not resist, I had to post… here is the prayer. LOL

With the election on Monday, we pray today for guidance and for the strength of Bermuda. In this important moment for our island, we hope you will join us in offering a prayer.

      Thank you,

      Wayne Furbert

      A Prayer for Bermuda
Almighty Lord, bless the inhabitants of Bermuda with wisdom. Guide the people of our island in the upcoming general election that with honest government and wise laws, all may be blessed with justice and prosperity. For as it is written in scripture, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13).

And through Your Divine Power may we serve You faithfully in healing those who are broken in body or spirit and eliminating cruelty. Your loving hand has given us all that we possess; we thank You for freedom and the ability to participate in our democracy. Impart Your wisdom on us that we may serve those in greatest need.

Hear us good Lord, that all may vote with sound minds. And grant us wisdom in this election that we may have a House of Assembly committed to the priorities of Your Holy Scripture, the source of all truth, so that peace, justice, truth and compassion may prevail among us and we may be enabled to fulfill Your purposes; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

      • Nitty Gritty says:

The Lord above is a little busy tonight with rape and murder in the Congo, mass killings in Connecticut, genocide, civil wars and starvation. He?she may not be as concerned with Judas’ lamentations about the need for a PLP victory right now, after all they already got their rewards, here on earth, not in heaven.

    • Judge Dredd says:

Now I’m not your devout Christian choirboy, but what you guys just did is the most disgusting intolerant and indignant filth I have seen during this whole election campaign. Why on earth are you disrespecting the man’s act of calling upon God in his own way? You are the same ones who talk about tolerance and respect and you have no respect for things that even many murders and dope dealers have respect for. Do you realise the magnitude of inhumanity you just displayed? What DO you respect?

  10. Kathy Jones says:

For all you ignorant supporters of the OBA/UBP you all need to wake up from the fairy tale dream your in. There is no way in hell that you will ever win this election so you know what keep on dreaming and we will wake you up on Tuesday with a PLP victory

    • Time for Change says:

Yawn, you may remain in power but with less seats. Really no need to hate. We all bleed the same.

You are saying it is okay to take whatever you want and do whatever you like… I will still vote you back in – FOOLS!

    • kevin says:

Kathy J good luck with that as it is well documented if you owned bermuda and had employed the PLP to run it you would fired them years ago …. i have faith that Bermuda will finally tell the PLP that their servides are no longer wanted.

Wow Kathy – made it to English class much? Didn’t think so.

    • Back to Life, Back to Reality says:

Its not a Fairy Dream we are in – IT IS HELL for almost everyone except maybe you. Do you have a job. I suspect you are a minister, a relative or on F&F list.

What the OBA might give us – is hope! Maybe it is a dream. I only hope that someday we can wake up to a dream instead of this ongoing nightmare of a government!

  11. Terry says:

Fools the lot to listen to Monty Python Batten.
They are the same that run the 2012 PLP site.

And his family just got a Gov. contract.
    Ching…..

  12. @MP muttonhead….instead of your usual crap that you spew…try and answer some of this crap…

Where are these Hotels???????? None, all promises, but none delivered. Then Furbert starts banging on about the cost of building a hotel in Bermuda…so there you have it, none will be built, or they will if Bermudians don’t build it….I just wonder who will be the head benefiters of companies that bring in that cheap labour? Hmmmmmmm i wonder!

P Minors could be in violation of the Human Rights Act for discriminating against a persons because of their place of origins upon the awarding of a contract. It only takes the business to make a formal complaint and I think should could be in sticky water…I’m no expert. Whilst her spirit is to be commended, you have to go by the rules you make. And 8 bermudians now suffer, and 80,000 more disappears from our monies, as the new contract. Cost that much more????

DeSilva is in violation by by not disclosing salaries in the annual report to do with the Hospital. Remember his arrogance. Disgusting.

Cox has yet to deliver the Mid Year financials. How many prior year financials have had to be qualified…not a good thing, it means not squeeky clean. Where is the Accountant general, and why was she put on Administative leave before the election?

Cox has yet to stop ministers getting involved for personal gain, financial or otherwise with contracts being awarded. Think of LED, pharamaceuticals distribution, a Famous company, and JUST who is CAhow Limited?. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Who are the Benefiters of the Trust money on the Dame LB Evans Building?

    Where is the missing 600million

Who was Makai D. Protecting, who’s cigarettle case was it he held and took the fall for……has he been charged yet?

Why did Berkley cost over $60million more than it was supposed to. Perhaps more .

Why did theWharf cost more than was budgeted. why is it not fit for its purpose, just 2 years into being built. Why did the PLP ignore hamilton and St Georges for tourism and push all the income into Wedco… I rememer looking at a report a few years ago.. a PLP name was a director of Wedco.

Why did Bean pay himself to effectively work for himself in an already paid government quango and not pay it back, when asked, why is is still running in the PLP, when he didn’t listen to the Leader. Why did Cox go quiet on this…..there is more to this one…come on PATI, I want to know.

Why did Burgess gave a lease to Bean for White’s island for one day shy of 21 years?

Why did another Bean just in principle overule all the experts positions for a property to be built which, noone knows who it is for or what it will be. With 3 purposes on the application.

Why did Weeks and Burgess have to be separated …what is the truth behind that scuffle.

Why is Roban running….he had to resign after pushing through friends and family planning deals didn’t he?

Why haven’t we recovered the Faith Based money.

Where the hell is PATI Cox…did you just lie about that to keep us Bermudians quiet ? Show me the transparency in government?

Why does Smith pretend that the school results were great, when is is a disater….an embarresment…14 years and it’s like day 1.

Why did PLP claim they were tackling gang crime afer Perinchief admitted it took them by surprise and that he couldn’t get traction, so pushed it off to Families, youth and sports. So what has CARTEL done that earned them the super lease FREE that allows them to charge other people for use of the island!!!!!!!!!!!!

This list goes on and on and on…..

Oh, and What business does Cox’s husband do…we hear Business man all the time, what business, what is it called and how many govt contracts has it had? It may be none, he is a very nice person to speak on occassions I’ve spoken tohim, but what is his directly benefits Cox, surely she needs to disclose any govt contracts his business has. Maybe he has none.

Most important of ALL is WHY hasN’t the PLP run on their record….They have had 14 years to make Bermuda magnificent, but they failed, they made us poorer, told us what we should buy..like Grand Atlantic Condos on South Shore and completely ignored us time and time again. They know they don’t stand a chance in heaven or hell if they run on that. So get ready for more divisive, nastiness Bermuda.

Yes…it has been copied and pasted….so friggin’ what??? It’s relevant…do you best…or just shut the hell up!!!

  13. Chris Famous says:

What will they say when we reach to 19 seats?

    • Bullseye says:

      That crime pays.

    • #LackOfOptions says:

Not a damn thing Chris we will be serenaded by the sounds of crickets.. I can’t wait for this victory party @ Alaska hall but ill feel bad bcos all these paid OBA bloggers will need to find a real job.. Unfortunately none will be there as there UNBERMUDIAN masters have been instructed to “sow economic turmoil” as per the not so secret document which I might add is working like a charm for the last 14yrs.. Have no fear paid bloggers the “change” that you so crave will come soon in the economy as it will turn around in this term of government.. What I would personally like to see is a backlash is for all the “down scale uneducated blacks” that vote PLP to boycott every establishment that is owned by any OBA member or “black surrogate” affiliated to that party.. I solemnly swear as long as Bermuda politics remain race based with the so called party of the white elite and black surrogates (OBA) versus the so called black party (PLP) then the PLP have my vote.. The only way I will vote for another party is if a 3rd party forms which aligns with my ideals only then will I ever consider voting for another party.. #caseclosed

      • Bullseye says:

Hilarious. You will let the PLP walk all over you, lie to you, and steal the future, but you will vote for them because the Opposition still has white people. You are a genius and you sow the seeds of destruction of this island.

and no I am not a paid blogger. I figured anyone defending the PLP was paid for you havent a leg of reason to stand on other than racial insecurity. Outside of that you have nothing but regression of the island so you can’t talk about that. Your hands must be tied to all the missing money from the govt coffers or you wouldnt fight so hard for those covering up the loss.

I will simply have to go back to work and get less as has happened for years now. Thanks PLP! Do you even know what you are doing? You must do.

      • Black Bermudian in IB says:

As a black Bermudian, I have to say your mindset disgusts me. You will actually allow the black leaders of the PLP rape and pillage this country simply because they share the same skin colour as you?

Your ignorance will be the destruction of this island. Not only should the PLP not be returned to power quite a few of the should be arrested. The day will come that they will no longer be able to cover up their wrongdoings. There are good honest people doing investigative work right now. It will be a long process because of the sensitivities surrounding the corruption coming from this countries highest office but rest assured it will come out.

The only unfortunate thing is that we’ll have to wait until after the election.

    • Back to Life, Back to Reality says:

    • SoMuchMore says:

Yes Flip Flop is… I read the message he is sending around and it is funny as hell. He should be ashamed of himself for doing such a thing.

But than again, the PLP have no shame in their game… they do whatever they like. The PLP are just like a bunch of children. SMH

On the other hand you do not see none of this crap from the OBA and I commend this team for being so professional throughout this entire ordeal.

      • SoMuchMore says:

the PLP called my house 4 times yesterday about the rally and what is even worst is that my number is unlisted so how the heck did they get it??????

I have spoken to a few people and they have said the same thing. The PLP keep calling and calling.

        • Autumn Fire says:

Whatever, it has happen with the OBA supported poll from 1 (631) 621-5341, and others, so, what’s the point…..

    • Navin Johnson says:

Big phony. Keep your prayers Wayne

  17. James Goodfellow says:

There seem to be a number of white Bermudians that think the OBA has a chance. This is gauged on their experience with black middle class colleagues and friends. The problem is the vast majority of whites have little or no connection with the black working class and are thus completely out of touch with the reality of this election.

My experience suggests that you’ve not been talking extensively with the black working class.

  18. MJ says:

If the PLP win the election on Monday you can expect the following.
Paula Cox will be booted out and Derrick Burgess will become premier, with Rolfe as deputy.

The primier then appoints Ewart Brown to the senate.
Welcome back brother Ewart. There is a few drops of milk in the old cow, so milk away for the next 5 years.

  20. Save our little island says:

    Please Bermuda vote OBA.

  21. gross says:

According to the comment section on both online news papers the OBA will win tomorrows election. If the PLP retain power, this will go to show that majority of the people that read and comment on the news are OBA.

    What does this tell you?

    • #LackOfOptions says:

      They’re paid bloggers

      • SoMuchMore says:

I am not a paid blogger… I just see what is right for the country and right now there is nothing right about it.

I read a comment from the PLP that they introduced a concept but it was me who gave them the idea – smdh. tell the plp something and they say it was theirs just like everything else.

The time for change is NOW! Save us before we all sink!

        • #LackOfOptions says:

Sour grapes + u didn’t get “paid” (recognition) for your idea= “Paid” blogger with an ulterior motive.. No wonder u have the time to submit 100 blogs a day.. #GetALife

      • Back to Life, Back to Reality says:

Who the hell can afford to pay someone to blogg??? Its a simple thing to do?

Can someone tell me how I can find someone to pay me because I have been out of work for a few months now and I wouldn’t mind a job again. Funds are getting low.

So are we to assume that all the people I hear talking on talk shows, day after day, after day, after day talking the same old garbage are paid too? Are the PLP supporters that post regularly and pationately paid? They must be?

Just out of curiosity ,this blog took less than three minutes to post, so exactly how much can I get paid? LOL

By the way – if thoose out there would just answer the questions about what the PLP has done that would be considered an improvement over the last 13 years – I could stop asking the quesions and I would be quiet.

    • Bermuda NEEDS help says:

      Smart people read the news…..DUH

  22. swing voter says:

some ppl will vote PLP for sentimental, historical reasons. some ppl will vote OBA because they realize that Bermuda will not see much foreign investment under the PLP. It just hasn’t happened under the PLP. I think most swing voters are smart enough to know the difference between prosperity and mass poverty.

  23. theothersidebda says:

What happens if it goes 18 to 18? How does that get resolved?

  24. M.P.Mountbatten JP says:

The financial investor families (most of us know exactly who they are) of the OBA have pumped a fortune into ‘changing the UBP’. Tomorrow Bermuda will decide if the ‘investment’ will produce a beautiful multi-coloured butterfly or a worthless moth .

Driving around the Island today I witnessed plenty of OBA signs , mostly in peoples private yards . A vote for the OBA is a vote for jobs … What jobs I ask ? Shoveling snow out of those well manicured driveways…

On Friday night I was asked by my friend Hamish to pick up his lovely daughter , my god daughter from the airport . She has spent the last few years living in Egypt , until they changed the government . Anyway she will vote here tomorrow , happy in the knowledge that she didn’t have to register every year (PLP made that possible). Changing of the government is the last thing on her mind .

Is that a mothball or a marble on the OBA sign ?

    • Bullseye says:

Members of the PLP and their surrogates (most of us know exactly who they are) have taken hundreds of millions from all Bermudians ….

and you are content with that.

      • SoMuchMore says:

Bullseye, I think he/she is and it is sad… really.

      • mixitup says:

Really? and your UBP/OBA have plundered Billions from this Island. Take a ride through Trimingham hill and Fairylands and see the old stolen fortunes! 40 thieves ring any bells?

    • Back to Life, Back to Reality says:

This so called friend , Hasmishs daughter lives overseas – in Egypt and in 13 years this is what she is what she considers to be the PLPs greatist achievement…LOL.

Maybe if the PLP were not in power today she would not have had to work overseas! She could be here with her dad – your imaginary friend Hamish.

  25. SoMuchMore says:

M.P, it is actually the mothball of a marble coming from your mouth. Stop sounding so silly.

  26. Decembah seventeenth says:

Maybe I’m slow or don’t get it but what exactly “didn’t” the PLP do again? I hear this a lot and I just want to be clear what you OBAMA supporters are referring to

    • SoMuchMore says:

think of all the promises, look at all the jobless people, look at all the closed businesses, look at the debt the island is in…go figure!

    • BDAHermit says:

Barack Obama is running in Bermuda?

Can I vote for him in #10 Smiths North?

    • Back to Life, Back to Reality says:

They didnt do anything to improve education
They didn’t do anything to improve tourism
They didn’t do anything about the millions of unaccounted for monies belongoing to the people.
They didn’t do anything effective about crime.
They didn’t do anything to get our Faith Based Tourism money back.
They didn’t do anything to cut spending…until there was no more to spend.
They didn’t do anything to cut back on uneccessary travel
They didn’t remeber to signa simple cruise ship contract and we now have 12 less cruise ships visiting next year. 12 x 2,500 visitors (and crew)= 30,000 less tourists.
They didn’t force the BIU to file audited statements as required by law for 10 years.
The didn’t really do anything about unemployment did they. How many of those drywallers and “nail technicians” are working full time after their answer to unemployment.

Let me make it easier for you. THE DIDN’T GOVERN!

      • Decembah seventeenth says:

@backtolife I will respond in the order that you put your answers in…….

Education – I believe that the government tried several things to try and rectify the educational system that was left by the previous administration. They implemented the Cambridge Curriculum etc. my daughter is now encouraged to take her O levels and A levels in middle school as aposed to taking it in senior school so that she can be more advanced than her peers from other jurisdictions.

Tourism – you can’t make people come to Bermuda, you can only invite them. To be fair there isn’t much for tourists to do when they get here. We don’t have enough beds to accommodate the amount of tourists that you critics desire. Everytime there is talk of a hotel development, we have BEST and all the crazy save the trees people want to talk bad about the developers and government and expect the investors to still part with their investment dollars after being treated like crap.

Unaccounted money – as far as I understand there is an Auditor General who is managed by the Govenror and not the elected government. If there were any impropriety she has the powers to expose and initiate court proceedings. So unless you are calling that person and the governor incompetent then you have no meat in that issue. By the way I’m asked “where did I get my money” when I’m trying to deposit a couple of thousand dollars in the bank so don’t you think red flags would be raised if there were millions of dollars being transferred about? I’m just saying.

Crime – if you’re referring to the gang problem, I think that the level some of these gangs are operating in took us all by surprise and no one person or organization has the answer to solve it. I think that the whole country has to come together to stop it. We have to make a legitimate living look and be more attractive than the gang life. Believe it or not gangs have been around long before the PLP.

Faith Based Tourism – I always thought this was a bad idea and to have Andre Curtis manage it was even a worse idea but in terms of “getting the money back”, I believe their hands were tied once Andre was acquitted of the crime. The acquittal pretty much said he did nothing wrong so they couldn’t go after his personal wealth without a conviction.

Spending – I believe government spent because the private sector wasn’t and did it to stimulate the economy. Remember government is the largest employer on the island and hasn’t laid off one person during this economic storm. Hardly any large company can boast that fact.

Unnecessary Travel – who are you and I to decide what is necessary or not. So I can’t comment on that at all.

Cruise ships – are we that arrogant as Bermudians to think that a cruise line has to build and maintain smaller cruise ships just so they can accommodate our Town and St George’s cuts. These cruise lines have adopted the bigger is better business model if we can’t accommodate them docking then they will go elsewhere. And even if they did come they are bound by our out dated laws wherein the cant open their casinos while in dock. I know the church’s and residents have their issues with gaming but the locals aren’t allowed on-board either way so until the laws change to benefit them they won’t come. And just imagine if the pier in Dockyard were never built, do you know how many ships would be tendering next year? ……… 0

BIU statements – are you a member of the BIU? If not, wth does it have to do with you. Those issues should be sorted between the members and the BIU who they subscribe to. We bermudians “want to know” sometimes surpasses our “need to know”

Unemployment – News Flash!!! It’s not the Governements job to create jobs! That is a myth. It’s the private sectors responsibility. All the governments has to do is build and maintain a sustainable infrastructure where businesses can operate with relative ease. They are the biggest employer as I mentioned earlier but that is mostly to do with sustaining the infrastructure. You did contradict yourself because to their credit they did implement those work skill initiatives and several others. The Power Engineers which will operate the Tynes Bay power production once that comes online. My understanding is that the levels some have attained are some of the highest in their field. Anything higher than a level 2 engineer can run a nuclear plant. Now that’s saying something for my onions.

Listen it sounds to me that you’re singing the same tune as many others have no real argument to support your opinion. It’s sorta like a horrible song you hear on the radio and at first you hate it but as you hear it so much you start to sing a long when you hear it…. I’ve poured cold water over all the issues you have raised. I want to end by saying that we can debate opinions, but we can’t debate the facts. Look up everything I have written and you will see that it is all documented.

        • Rick Rock says:

          So much rubbish here.

For example. The Auditor General is not ‘managed by the Governor’. You can’t blame the Governor for the missing money. That idea is bizarre. The problem is that Auditor General’s powers of investigation are limited by law, deliberately, by the government.

        • Sledge Hamma says:

Education: If they didn’t improve on the previous administration – they failed.

Tourism: Previous administrations Tourism numbers were higher. We had one of the highest repeat customer numbers. You can’t make them come – but your advertising should make them want to come! It hasn’t – therefore they failed. Don’t blame BEST – Best hasnt STOPPED anything. Club Med, Rosewood, Elbow Beach, Sonesta, Par-la-Ville Park Hotel, Souktshore Hotel was traded a suitable location. Therefore they failed.

Unaccounted For Money: Last Auditor General was arrested without mrit for asking questions. Would you ask? By the way, they have asked the question – look it up! Where is the answer? There isn’t one.

Crime: your answer is pathetic! Caught us by surprise?? TWO of your high ranking members were former police Commissioners? Are you saying they were not effective! LOL.

Faith Based Tourism: I don’t think anyone is condemning the idea itself. It could work and has worked elsewhere. The problem is HOW it was handled and that funds were not recovered.

Over Spending: They overspent spent because they had to? $60 million extra to ProActive was where it started and we have been told to look the oter way ever since!

Unneccessary Spending: Did Dr. Brown need to always travel with a group of people! No – then that is overspending! Simple Really.

Cruise Ships: They forgot to sign a contract meaning we have 12 few cruise ships coming now then previously scheduled. They were coming – but because of thescrew up , they have gone elsewhere. If that minister was in charge of a business they would have been fired.

BIU Ststement: The government does not get to decide who they want to protect. The LAW says they have to file statements and they didn’t for 10 years. I’m not a BIU member but I was at one point in my life.

Unemployment: You say it is not the governments job to create jobs, but earlier you said they overspent to stimulte te economy – if it wasn’t to create jobs, then what do you mean stimulte? By the way are you refering to the Tynes Bay incinerator tha the PLP oppossed and was built by the UBP?

          Crime

        • Let me get this str8 says:

The Government refused to allow the Auditor General have the powers to “follow the money.”

The Perpetual Lying Party lies again.

As for the rest no point in trying to reason with an irrational person.

But I will say that 28% of our students only achieved a c or higher in internationally recognised examinations (GCSE). BSC doesn’t mean sh*t in the real academic world. And yet the PLP trumpets such results as evidence of a “thriving” edcuation systm. Like I said nothing but the Perpetual Lying Party at work.

  27. Last-Minute Appeal says:

If the PLP wins tomorrow night, it will be because they lowered their party to disgusting, emotionally repulsive levels of campaign discourse that are rivaled only by the 2010 and 2012 efforts of certain Congressional Republicans in the U.S. House Of Representatives.

I truly don’t see how their campaign staff sleeps at night, or how they can justify the psychological toll their disingenuous paranoia-mongering has on their supporters, many of whom are scared for their families’ futures and thereby vulnerable to such dishonest rhetoric.

The party’s messaging machine has been unforgivably ruthless and lie-saturated to the point of outright sociopathy. I’m truly awestruck by how little respect they have for their own supporters, and how willing they are to breed a culture of hatred for the sake of reelection, especially so close to Christmas. It borders on evil.

While there are many PLP members to whom my scathing criticism doesn’t apply and who genuinely believe they can make a positive difference to Bermuda’s future under the PLP banner, the fact that they haven’t spoken up against their party’s revolting campaign tactics says a lot about just how far blind party loyalty can drive an otherwise scrupulous person to ignore their own convictions.

Say what you will about the OBA, but they’ve run a clean campaign. Sadly, that might end up being their downfall, but at least they’d be able to take their loss with dignity. They’ve earned my vote because in addition to running a respectful, issues-focused campaign and despite their many, MANY flaws, they truly stand for unity and diversity.

This is a last-minute emotional appeal to anyone who is planning on voting PLP, but still has lingering doubts about their party’s intentions. At this point I don’t really give a rat’s behind about appearing biased, because there is truly too much at stake and everything to lose. Bermuda is a beautiful island full of beautiful people who deserve better than the utter contempt with which the PLP has treated them throughout this soul-crushing campaign.

To any diehard PLP supporters reading this, look inside your soul. If you’re religious, try to imagine what God would think of how your party treats the electorate. Think of your children. For one second, don’t think of me as a generic OBA supporter, but as a HUMAN BEING who wants the best for this island just like you do.

That’s all…may everyone have a blessed Christmas regardless of the election result.

    • mixitup says:

“Say what you will about the OBA, but they’ve run a clean campaign.”

Are you retarded? You call trying to fool the populace by following a less than secret plan to split up, add a few new faces then rejoin clean? Oh right I forgot, PLP supporters are un-educated buffoons, we’ll fall for it! RIGHT!!! You really think we needed to read that secret document to realize what was going on? We’ll see you as the XYZ party in 2016 I guess, that’s if you don’t run out of letters in the alphabet before then.

      • Rick Rock says:

“….following a less than secret plan”? You really are an un-educated buffoon if that’s what you believe.

      • Ya Fewl says:

your paranoid, misguided comment literally proves everything Last-Minute Appeal just said. There was no secret plan. The document was forged and this has been proven.

I pray for your soul, as you deserve better than what those you support have given you (though you’re probably a paid troll, in which case you’re part of the problem).

    • M.P.Mountbatten JP says:

You arn’t a generic OBA supporter , you are the real deal card carrying UBP supporter but that’s your business . Blessed Kwanzaa regardless of the election result

    Where is the missing 800million?????????

It’s relevant…do your best…or just shut the hell up!!!

    • Back to Life, Back to Reality says:

Things that make you go hmmmmm?

    • mixitup says:

You just wasted 20 minutes of your life typing that, aint nobody reading all that! SMH

      • Truth (Original) says:

I did. They are all pertinent questions. It should be on the front page

        • Tolerate says:

Exactly, when you start to read a blog that you feel is stomping on your toes; the reaction is to stop reading. This is why we are in the state we are (and this is not an attack on mixitup).
To move forward, sometimes you have to accept criticism; when it is factual, and work to fix it. This list would not be so long if someone was reading and listening and not just acting. Screw ups after screw ups.

      • Let me get this str8 says:

        I did as well.

Maybe you should just be a little receptive to other’s points of views.

But I know that is a stretch.

      • Sledge Hamma says:

I read it – you must have as well.

    • M.P.Mountbatten JP says:

Are you the bin man then ? Do you go around collecting cyber trash other people throw away .. ? YOU Bloody MOTH ..

  29. Triangle Drifter says:

The PLP wants you to stand strong, going nowhere, voting on race & emotion. The OBA wants you to vote on the issues, & there are plenty of them.

In the short term the vote you cast may either cost or save your job. In the long term your vote will either cost or save your children’s & grandchildren’s future. It is not just about the next 5 years.

Election day is the one day in five years that the voters have a say. Don’t waste your voice. Vote wisely, for your children’s sake.

    • SoMuchMore says:

Yes and I like how you put it – the means of the PLP and the means of the OBA.

I hope people look at the differences and see that we need to get back on track and which party has put forth a platform and willing to do just that.

Bermuda! vote about the party that sees today and tomorrow not the one that just sees today!

    • M.P.Mountbatten JP says:

@T.D.Jakes … Why was it necessary for the UBP to be abandoned pre ’08 ? I’ll answer for you . No you do the research . It will help you decide what your future party should look like and be called .

  30. george says:

raciest pies and mediocre promises will win again…bermudians got tenacity for hardship..

  31. Nitty Gritty says:

Lackofoptions? is what exists every time the Government meets to go over their finances.
We are not voting AGAINST the PLP supporters
We are voting for change and a future.
We are not voting for a party that refuses to sanction or investigate its own members when accused of mismanagement, cronyism, corruption or worse.
If you cant allow the Auditor General to do her job, you are hiding something big.
The best guess is about $300 million- minimum.
Whatever ‘good’ you may have done has been negated by a massive fraud on the people. This will result in many more closures and layoffs if the PLP go back in, simply because so many with potential investment will never trust them again. It’s all about sound business ethics, honesty reliability and transparency. OK you can get back to shredding now.

  32. M.R. says:

Wow Bernews! You’ve done an awesome job of giving us information and lots of stats.

It literally is “Everything You Need To Know”!

  33. Simple Math says:

    As Bernews points out.

    13 PLP Strong holds (5, 14, 15, 16, 18, 21, 26, 29, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36)

    05 OBA Strong holds (8, 12, 20, 22, 23)

    18 Marginals. PLP need 6 (3, 10, 13, 17, 24, 25) – I feel they have also.

Lets see how it all pans out.

  34. Can't belive it says:

I was PLP but can’t vote for them now. I believe that when Mr. Cox, God bless his soul, was Finance Minister the PLP was sound. After his passing, things went out of control and haven’t been the same since. Haven’t decided if I’m voting for OBA or not. I also have a difficult time understanding how people were so “pro OBA” way before they laid out their platform. It’s ignorance to move to another when you don’t know what it’s about. I want change like most but I am not sure OBA can provide it. In any event, PLP will NOT BE GETTING MY VOTE – WON’T WASTE MY TIME!

    • concerned ambassador says:

Well said! My sentiments exactly! !!!!

    • Sledge Hamma says:

It was easy – the option was PLP which you just said yourself you re not happy with – so why wuld anyone else. The only other option was OBA unless you live in one of the few areas where there is a UBP or Independent.

I too voted for the PLP before the Dr Brown era and will not do so right now. Maybe sometime in the future. I actually like Paula Cox bu Im fearful that she won’t be there much longer. Vance Campbell is another man of good character and of course and of course there are others. However, with so many of the original Kings of Destruction hanging around – I can’t take a chance again.

  35. OZ says:

There are still way too many people who think they have a right to tell others who to vote for. This has added to the rancour on these blogs. Hopefully now they will do their part and leave others to do the same!
What ever happens on Monday we will all just have to deal with it because it will be the will of the people!

  36. MAKE MY DAY says:

The PLP have completely *Failed* Bermudians for the last 14 years – and spent a hell of a lot of Tax Payers $$$ on stupid ideas + fancy trips (everywhere) + cars & gas and other “benefits” ONLY for themselves and the *Friends & Family* plan!! In other words… *you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours* with Financial benefits ($$$)!!

They have BS’d Bermudians about a “bright future”, including many more tourist arrivals, new business ventures, new hotels etc, etc!! It is ALL *Smoke and Mirrors* – while in the meantime they have spent ALL the money and the Island is in a GIANT mess with debt totaling over $$1.6+ BILLION, with NO end in sight!!

Finally – don’t forget ALL the unemployed and underemployed Bermudians (About 8,000 -10,000) + all the businesses that have closed their doors!! This c*ap cannot go on indefinitely as the Island is becoming like a “Banana Republic” or a 3rd world dictatorship!!

If for some ridiculous reason the voting electorate can’t see this for themselves and the PLP are reelected – then you can expect a lot of IB companies to look for “greener pastures” and a lot of white business people and their $$$ will also leave + there will be NO more Investment $$$ for new hotels or up-grading the old ones!!

Bermuda will literally become a 3rd world country with much “civil disobedience” – more gang related murders and armed robberies etc – and NOT many tourists!!!

DO YOU ALL GET THE PICTURE – BECAUSE THIS WILL BE YOUR FUTURE IF YOU DON’T VOTE THE PLP OUT-OF-POWER… BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!!

GOOD LUCK BERMUDA FROM AN *OLD BERMUDIAN* WHO LEFT THE ISLAND 20 YEARS AGO – AND HAS BEEN WATCHING ALL THIS NONSENSE SINCE THE PLP WERE ELECTED BACK IN ’98!!!

VOTE THE **OBA** INTO POWER AND GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO FOR BERMUDA AND BERMUDIANS!!! WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO LOSE???

Thank’s for the stats Bernews, my vote is in. May the party that gets the most votes make Bermuda a better place in the future.

  38. New Bermudian says:

Scariest phrase in Bermuda: “…and now let’s give a big round of applause for our new Premier, Derrick Burgess!” I wouldn’t vote PLP simply because of the possibility of having that buffoon in the driver’s seat!! Be careful, people, and think about what the possibilities could be. We could get Ewart back for all we know, how scary would that be??? You aren’t voting for the nice person who smiles and nodded and sipped some coffee at your house this summer, you’re voting for the party.

  39. Triangle Drifter says:

In doing some house cleaning this morning, throwing out old documents etc. we came across a Report on the PLPs first 100 days after being elected in 1998.

Hilarious reading. A long fluffy list of things accomplished in the first 100 days of power. Most of them, 14 years later, NOT done.

A couple of quick stand outs. Fair & equal tenders for Government contracts & supplies. A Tourism Board comprising of more members who are in the trade.

If you have this document buried in your files, dig it out & have a read BEFORE going to vote.

It really illustrates how little the PLP actually have accomplished in 14 years besides lavish money on themselves.

  40. Yes I says:

There needs to be a board game or card game called “race card”. Mercy I don’t have enough popcorn for this!

PLP forcing young adults against their own will up to BDA Regiment. I rebuke such a haughty spirit
