March 5, 2013

Patrice Frith HaywardThe Women’s Resource Centre have announced that Patrice Frith Hayward will become its new Executive Director from April 1, 2013.

Dr. Janet Kemp, co-chair of the Women’s Resource Centre states: “We are very pleased to have Mrs. Frith Hayward assume this very important leadership role.

“We are confident that Mrs. Frith Hayward will draw on her experience and knowledge to build on the achievements of our departing Director, Ms. Elaine Williams, and that we all benefit from the many strengths that she brings to the role of Executive Director.”

Mrs. Frith Hayward is delighted with her appointment and states, “I am excited to have the opportunity to be able to work in the area of my passion, which is the empowerment of women. I look forward to leading the Women’s Resource Centre and to achieving the centre’s aims”.

A spokesperson said, “Patrice has been the Community Educator of the WRC since October 2012 and has helped to launch the new Self Esteem workshops. She is an author and renowned playwright, who has written a novel—’Island Sistahs’ and six Bermuda-based plays since 1990.

“Public and motivational speaking is her passion and she is also enthusiastic about encouraging personal and career growth and has taught professional development courses.

“Amongst many other accomplishments including managing her own business, Patrice established The L’GIT (Ladies Let’s Get It Together!) Empowerment Institute — with hopes of turning ‘ordinary’ women into extraordinary ladies. She is also the host of ‘Real Women. Real Talk… with Patrice’ — an empowerment radio talk show.
