April 3, 2013

CADA today [Apr 3] announced they will hold Community Information Sessions on the topic of Roadside Sobriety Checkpoints, to discuss how they work and the results they can achieve.

CADA Chairman Anthony Santucci stated, “One of the objectives of this year’s Alcohol Awareness Month is to educate the Community about Roadside Sobriety Checkpoints, what they look like and the results they can achieve.

“To this end, I am pleased to announce we will be holding Community Information Sessions on Thursday 4th April at 5:30pm and again on Thursday 18th April, also at 5:30pm. These sessions will be held at the Hamilton Police Station and all are welcome.”

Mr. Santucci continued, “Roadside Sobriety Checkpoints can help to save lives, in other jurisdictions, crash rates have been reduced by as much as 19% when checkpoints have been introduced. We encourage members of the community to come out and learn more about this important topic. For more information, go to cada.bm”.
