Environmental Services Investigate Pollution Slick

Environmental Services joined the Fisheries Department and Pilot Boat St David on Friday [May 10] to investigate a suspected pollution incident in St George’s.

A spokesperson said, “Bermuda Radio received a report from the s/v Dream Catcher that a suspected pollution incident had occurred in Powder Hole, St George Harbour.

“The slick although thin had spread 200 metres, environmental services were tasked along with the Fisheries Department and the Pilot Boat St David to try and locate the cause and source of the pollution, this was not identified and the slick dissipated shortly after.”
