Weekend Rugby Results: Ladies, Men’s Division
Both men’s and women’s rugby matches took place at the National Sports Center this weekend, with Police and Teachers both claiming victories.
Ladies Division
Police 2 Renegades 1
In the opening Ladies match at the National Sports Center saw Joanna Hickley score 2 Trys for the Police Ladies as they defeated the Renegades ladies 2 – 1, Amy Harvey McGlynn scored the lone Try for the Renegades.
Teachers 3 Mariners 1
The Teachers Ladies got 2 Try’s from Katy Wright and a single try from Sherrie Bashir in their 3 – 1 win over the mariners Ladies who got their lone Try from Amanda Swan.
Men’s Division
Police 30 Renegades 11
The Police scored early and often in their 30 – 11 win over the Renegades in the opening Men’s match. Adam Richards, Paul Davis, Cobus Vermaak and Paul Canfield all scored a Try each for the Police, while Tommy Edwards kicked 2 Conversions and 2 Penalties. Jahan Cedenio scored the lone Try for the Renegades, while Rich Cumbers kicked 2 Penalties.
Teachers 35 Mariners 0
Corey Boyce went over for 3 Try’s and Andre Landy scored twice for the Teachers in their 35 – 0 win over the Mariners. Tom Greggs added 5 Conversions.
