45 Year Old Man Denies Smiths Parish Burglary

Appearing in Magistrates Court yesterday [Mar 11] a 45 year old man denied burglarizing a home and stealing items including jewellery, underwear, cash, an electric drill, a dustbuster and more.

Devlin Stevens pleaded not guilty to burglarizing a Smith’s Parish home earlier this month and stealing jewellery, a bike helmet, a bag, clothing including underwear and outer wear, cash, an electric drill, and a Black & Decker Dustbuster vacuum cleaner. Crown Prosecutor Maria Sofianos listed the total value as around$7,000.

Senior Magistrate Archie Warner remanded Stevens into custody until his trial date which was set for May 2014.
