Boys Brigade To Celebrate Founder On April 26
In memory of what would have been Boys Brigade founder Cecil Downs’ 100th birthday – April 23 – the group is inviting members past and present to take part in their Youth Service on April 26.
A spokesperson said, “We are hoping that the community will help us to contact as many former BB members as we can – to invite them come to our Youth Service on Sunday, April 26.”
“All BB members and leaders, past and present are also invited to join us with the BB and Church Girls’ Brigade [CGB] as they march from the east side of church for inspection in the car park and then celebrate with cake, refreshments and fellowship in the hall afterwards.”
“Please could everyone try to pass this information and invitation onto as many former members and their families that you know. We also have some old BB photos in which we are trying to identify the BB members and we will have copies in the hall so people can write the names of anyone they recognize.”
Those were the good Ole days, will be missed he was a good fella.
