Two Teens Injured In Southampton Collision

Two teen males riding auxillary cycles tonight [June 19] on Middle Road, Southampton were involved in a collision resulting in both riders suffering injuries and having to be transported to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment.

A section of Middle road was cordoned off while police Traffic Collision Investigators were at the scene and one way traffic was directed by police to allow traffic flow on a side road.

Police Media Manager Dwayne Caines said: “First responders attended a report of an incident that took place on Friday at 11:23pm on Middle Road in Southampton in the area of Greene’s Guest House.

“It appears that two males ages 16 and 17 years old were travelling on auxillary cycles on Middle Road when one of the males lost control of his cycle and collided with a wall outside of a house on the left hand side of the road.

“As a result the second male collided with his vehicle. This resulted in both males being conveyed to the hospital, one male recieved facial injuries and the second received leg and arm injuries.

“Police are appealing for witnesses to contact the police on 295-0011.”
