Photos Set #2: 2016 Non-Mariners In Sandys
The 44th annual Non-Mariners Race took place in Sandys yesterday [July 31], bringing people from across the island together in order to take in the unique spectacle.
The event saw the Non-Calypso Pipe Band leading the Non-Committee in parade to Mangrove Bay Beach to observe the construction of this year’s Non-Craft.
Hosted by Sandys Boat Club, the always popular ‘non-event’ attracts large crowds arriving by both land and sea, and involves strange and unusual craft taking to the water, most sinking within minutes.
