Photos & Results: Boulevard vs St. George’s

A number of football games took place across the island this weekend, with St. George’s Colts, North Village Rams, BAA, X-Roads, PHC Zebras, and Devonshire Cougars all recording wins.

Boulevard Blazers 2 St. George’s Colts 6

At the Police Field the St. George’s Colts defeated the Boulevard Blazers 6 – 2. Donavan Thompson led the way for the East Enders with four goals, while Allan Douglas Jr. and Jahron Dickinson added a goal each, while Jahzardae Samuels and an own goal counted for the Boulevard Blazers two goals.

North Village Rams 1 Wolves 0

At the Bernard Park, the North Village Rams advanced to the next round of the FA Challenge Cup with a 1 – 0 win over Wolves, Pierre Smith scored in the 47th minute for the host.

BAA 10 Southampton Rangers 0

At the BAA Field, the Southampton Rangers were defeated 10 – 0 by BAA, the home team got 4 goals from Morricko Iris, 2 from Shomuri Simons and single strikes from Joshua DeSilva, Tyrell Burgess, Quintonio Lema and Jahkari Furbert.

X-Road’s 4 Devonshire Colts 2

At the Garrison Field the game was held up for some 30 minutes as medics attended to a leg injury sustained by Devonshire Colts player Quinton Jones, when it was all over X-Road’s advanced with a 4 – 2 victory. Paul Simons scored twice for X-Road’s, while Rico Beek and Terencio Lowe added a goal each, while Kyle Jones and Teniko Eve scored a goal each for the Devonshire Colts.

Dandy Town Hornets 1 Somerset Trojans 1

At the St. John’s Field, the Dandy Town Hornets and the Somerset Trojans played to a 1 – 1 draw and will have to do it all over again. Both teams goals coming from the penalty spot, Malachi Jones gave the Somerset Trojans the lead in the 30th minute, but Drewonde Bascome equalized for the Dandy Town Hornets in stoppage time.

Somerset Eagles 2 PHC Zebras 6

At the White Hill, Triston Hall scored a hat-trick to lead the PHC Zebras to a 6 – 2 victory over the Somerset Eagles, Cecoy Robinson, Marco Warren and Keishon Bean all added a goal each, while Davin Riley Clarke and Khimo Harrison scored a goal apiece for the Somerset Eagles.

Devonshire Cougars 3 Young Men Social Club 0

At the Devonshire Rec. the host Devonshire Cougars defeated the visiting Young Men Social Club 3 – 0. Zari Simmons, Charmari Burns and Jawonday Smith all scored a goal for the Devonshire Cougars to advance to the next round.
