Project Action Charity Launches New Vehicle

Project Action – a registered charity providing free transportation for seniors and physically challenged — has recently received a new vehicle.

“The new vehicle was donated from a national appeal made last year whereas if they didn’t get immediate funds they would of been forced to shut down the charity. The community response and hence the very needed vehicle was purchased,” a spokesperson said.

“For the launch an intimate tea party was funded by the vehicle donors and hosted residents from the Sylvia Richardson Rest Home and seniors of Ebenezer Methodist Church.

“Mrs Rose Douglas shared this new vehicle, PA will be afforded the opportunity to resume to provide free transportation outings to the island rest homes.

“Project Action continued fundraising efforts has to be ongoing to continue this essential free service to helping relieve the transportation deficits for the growing elder population.”
