Iron Kids Triathlon Tomorrow: 3 – 14 Yrs
Capital G will host their 22nd Annual Iron Kids Triathlon tomorrow [June 26], at Clearwater Beach in St. David’s.
Iron Kids is a swim, bike, run sports event for children 3 years to 14 years old. More than 200 children from the ages of 3 – 14 are expected participate in the triathlon with a Tiny Tots race for children ages 3 to 6 years of age is enjoyed by parents and children alike.
The official triathlon will start at 3pm, however at 12pm, The Centre Drum Corps will open the free carnival entertainment. The festivities will continue throughout the day with a finale featuring the H&H Gombeys and PHC Majorettes. Carnival entertainment includes magic tricks, DJ Aztec music, a Gibbons Company fashion show, face painting and a puppet show in addition to fun castles, water tag and a giant slide. A variety of food vendors will offer popular foods and refreshments for purchase. As in previous years, Capital G has partnered with HOTT 107.5 for Iron Kids live remote feeds from Clearwater Beach.

Youth ages 7 to 14 will compete in the Junior Triathlon section of the event with the hope of winning up to $1,000 in the form of a Deposit Account provided by Capital G Bank. The prize awards are intended for use toward the winners’ college or university education.
In conjunction with the Iron Kids Triathlon, Capital G is launching the Iron Kids Savings account geared toward building a financially and physically healthy future generation. This special account is a savings and ATM Card Account earning a 2% interest rate on a capped amount of $10,000. The account is available to children from birth until the age of 18 and will teach children from an early age the basics of money management.
Capital G say their aim in hosting the event is to give young people the opportunity to experience the thrill of competition in a supportive environment surrounded by cheering family members and friends.
