David Cox Denies Murder of Yankee Rawlins
This morning [Dec 1] during the monthly arraignment sessions in Supreme Court 31-year-old David Jahwell Cox of Club Road, Smiths denied the premeditated murder of Troy “Yankee” Rawlins.
He also denied charges of possessing a firearm and using a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence. He was remanded in custody and will go on trial in May 2011.
On August 9th of this year, 47-year-old Mr Rawlins was gunned down in the entrance of Spinning Wheel nightclub. The father-of-eight suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at 1am that day.
